Derek couldn't believe how much bad luck he had; out of almost 20 pack members now, he was chosen to go into the forest alone and search for a potentially very dangerous monster who was terrorizing Beacon Hills. Well this is just great! 20 people and I'm the only one who got sent out here. What am I supposed to do if I find it, ask it to stop?! Derek thought.

His boots crunched on the fall leaves and his shirt blew slightly in the cool wind. He regretted substituting his regular jacket for his leather one. He wondered if the monster would be recognizable as a monster, or if would appear human to try and deceive him. The monsters the pack had dealt with recently had tried that, but they were all too cruel to hide their true nature. This one might be the cruelest.

The monster had been breaking into people's homes, smashing windows, and knocking doors down, all so that it could steal sick, innocent people. For some reason, despite all the sick people the monster was kidnapping, it never went near the hospital. And so, Beacon Hills residents started high tailing it to the hospital whenever they so much as coughed or sneezed.

Derek heard a twig snap.

He spun around swiftly, and saw... nothing. Well, he saw something; trees, grass, dirt, the annoyingly bright sun glaring down at him, and a small trail of flowers, lined up perfectly as if to create a path on which mother nature would walk. He briefly thought it odd, but for some reason he left it at that, not sparing a second glance as he continued on and eventually left the woods.

It was only when he stepped inside his loft, seeing the pack patiently awaiting a report, that he fully processed the oddity of the flower path.

"Derek? What'd you find?", Scott asked. Scott was their pack's alpha, with Derek being second in command. Scott earned his alpha title, so Derek didn't want to fight him for it, besides, he was perfectly okay being a co-alpha.

"Nothing helpful. There was something odd though, and it didn't seem all that monster like, so we're probably dealing with something that wants to trick us.", Derek replied. "Like a fox?", Kira asked. "No. It was different. There was a noise behind me, but when I looked back, all that I saw was a trail of flowers making out a perfect path in the woods." "Where did it lead?", Scott probed. "I don't know, didn't follow it."

"Good thinking, it might've been trying to lead you into a trap.", Scott replied. A trap? But somehow, it didn't seem like a trap... it seemed almost friendly... Derek thought. Derek shook the thought out of his head and let his eyes fall onto a face in the window.

Two golden eyes stared straight into his, and the boy whose face held the eyes looked peaceful; tranquil. The boy was beautiful. Pale complexion, messy brown hair, a few moles here and there, and those golden eyes. The gold slowly faded to brown as the other pack members seemed to notice Derek staring at something.

Jackson jumped up from the couch, ready to fight. "Jackson! Clam down, let's see why he's here first.", Scott commanded. Lydia opened the door and let the boy walk in. Well, it was more like the boy was gliding, steps as graceful as a butterfly landing on a flower. He wore a long white robe and his arms were completely hidden by the sleeves. The robe had gold stitching swirling in loopy patterns all across it. This boy was perhaps the most beautiful person Derek had ever seen. He didn't trust him.

"Hello." God, even his voice is beautiful! "Who are you, and why were you watching us?", Scott asked. "You may call me Stiles. My purpose here is him. Stiles pointed at Derek, his slender finger barely finding its way out of the sleeve of his robe. "Derek? What do you want with him?", Lydia asked.

"Yeah, why are creepily watching my brother outside his loft's window?! And why are you dressed like some kind of angelic royalty?", Laura demanded. She stared him up and down, noticing that the fabric of the robe seemed like it was made out of the smallest crystals. This boy was definitely supernatural.

"He came into my forest. I got scared and ran away at first, but I wanted to know why you were there.", Stiles explained. "Your forest? I've lived here all my life and those woods have never belonged to anyone.", Scott said.

"Well I've been there for thousands of years. It's my home.", Stiles defended. "If you've been there so long, how come no one's seen you? And why haven't you seen a monster running around kidnapping the sick people in our town? Unless your the monster, and now you're trying to trick us?!", Peter countered, getting into a defensive position. Half of the pack followed suit, claws at the ready.

"I'm not a monster! And I haven't kidnapped anyone, I've simply been bringing them to my home to heal them.", Stiles argued. "So you are the one taking them!", Derek said, also taking a defensive stance. "I'm not taking them' I told you,  I'm helping them, and they come willingly!", Stiles raised his voice slightly. He looked like he was offended by their words. "Then why hasn't anyone come back?", Allison asked.

Stiles seemed surprised for a moment and then lowered his head to look at the floor. In a meek, hushed voice he whispered "They don't want to come back. They said they're scared of Beacon Hills."

The pack let their bodies go mostly limp, using only enough energy to remain standing. Their friends, family, they all had decided to stay away from the people they loved because they were scared of their own homes.

"Can we see them?", Issac asked. He and Boyd had been trying to find Erica for weeks, had she really decided not to come back to the pack? "If you want to, yes.", Stiles answered. "We want to.", Derek stated. Stiles nodded silently and started out the door, the pack following behind.

They reached the edge of the woods, standing outside of them and peering in, afraid of being lured into a trap by this mysterious boy.

Stiles stepped into the forest, and almost immediately, flowers started to pop up beneath him, creating a narrow path as he walked. Derek followed closely behind him, trying his best to quietly smell the air around the boy. It was almost intoxicating, and for a brief second he didn't care if the other pack members could hear him smelling Stiles. He didn't even care if Stiles could hear him.

They finally made it to a large tree that was hollow in the middle. There was a hole just big enough to walk through. Stiles stepped in and disappeared into the darkness of the tree. Derek stood there for a moment, before he sighed and walked in as well. One by one, everyone walked into the tree and disappeared. The last on to step in was Liam.

As Liam stepped into the tree, he felt the shadows closing around him. Suddenly, he was in  a different forest, surrounded by the pack, staring up at a huge tree castle. Stiles motioned his hand at them, "Come on!", he urged.
