Chapter 11 The Thanksgiving Turn Around

*3 Weeks Later*

It's finally time for my next appointment today I'm currently four months now. I can't believe how much my baby bump has grown it's gotten so big over the past month but I guess it's because of me having twins.

*BUZZ* *BUZZ*

I was in the middle of day dreaming when my phone vibrated on the counter, "oh I believe that is Joshua texting me reminding me that I have an appointment today at 1:15 today." I said to my self walking over to the counter where I left my phone.

J: "hey baby don't forget we have an appointment today. I'll be there in 30min to get you so get ready."

N: "okay baby and I know I'm already ready just got to put my shoes on. see you soon baby."

J: "okay baby."

I locked my phone and headed upstairs to go get my boots on and get my jacket. once I got upstairs I walked in my room and put on my boots and zipped them up. I walked out of my room and noticed Chelsea door was open. I knew she was gone for the day but something was just telling me to go toward her door for some odd reason.

*RING* *RING*

I jumped when I noticed it was just my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I said trying to calm my nerves.

"Hey baby I'm outside come on or were going to be late." Joshua said.

"Alright alright I'm coming down stairs." I said and hung up.

When I open the door there stood Joshua in front of me he pulled me into a big hug and kissed me.

"Ready baby?" He said smiling down at me. I nodded and we walked to his car where he open the door for me to get in and then walked around and got in his side.

10 minutes of driving to the obgyn office we sat down and I filled out some paper work and turn it in. after about 5 minutes of waiting the nurse finally called me back.

We walked into one of the rooms and I sat down on the bed and Joshua sat down in the chair beside me.

Soon we heard a knock at the door and them the doctor came in, "hello my name is Lisa you must be Nicole and your the father right?" She looked at Joshua.

Joshua looked up, "yes I'm the father of two precious babies." DR. Lisa smiled and nodded, "good well let's get started now, Nicole I need you to lay down and pull up your shirt just over your stomach." I nodded and did what she asked me to do.

She got the gel and put it on my tummy and then got the thingy and put it on my tummy so we can see my babies.

After waiting for her to check up on the babies she finally spoke to us, "well everything good your babies are healthy just keep doing what your doing and next month we will find out the sex if you want."

We both smiled at her and nod our heads. "Oh okay will I'll let you too chill for a moment here some napkins to wipe the gel off and I'll be right back with your pictures." she smiled as she walked out the door.

I wiped off the gel and pulled my shirt down and sat up ready to go when she came back in. soon she came in gave us the pictures and we reschedule for next month and left to go get lunch and then home.

Later that evening we went shopping for baby cloths and baby stuff that we needed walking around looking at the cribs I finally found two cute brown cribs just perfect for my babies I decided to do an ocean them just perfect for a girl or a boy.

Soon it was getting late and we left the store on the way home I remember we have thanksgiving next week.

"Hey baby what are we going to do for thanksgiving you spending it with your family or do you want to invite them to my house and have one?" I said looking at Joshua.

"I'm not sure baby we haven't even told my folks and yeah unless you can hide you stomach till after dinner?" He chuckled and looked at me and back at the rode.

"Well I guess they will find out at thanksgiving then if they like to come, I'll call your mom and ask her."I said looking down holding my baby bump that has gotten bigger.

"Okay baby you do that let me know what she says." He said looking at the rode and at me and back.

When we got back home I called his mom up and asked her if she like to come to thanksgiving next week and she can bring a dessert or whatever she liked to bring. She accepted my invite an I told her thank you and see her next week.

*1 WEEK LATER*

Me and Chelsea were cooking the food and waiting for the turkey to get done while Joshua and Roy were at the store getting more things we needed for the food.

Finally the turkey was done and we put in the casserole, rolls and the yams. Chelsea set the table while I finished the macaroni and mash potatoes.

Soon the boys got back from the store with the drinks and desert stuff to make and some seasoning for the ham.

"Hey baby my parents are going to be here soon." Joshua said looking at me nervously.

"Okay baby it's going to be okay we can do this together I'll try and hide my belly till then." I said looking up at him.

I walked over and gave him a hug and kissed him. he gave me a smirk and u turn around to go back and put some of the food on the table so we can eat later.

*2 HOURS LATER*

Everything was finally finished cooking and set out on the table. Joshua family arrived just a few minutes ago I greeted them with a hand shake till his mom wanted to give me a hug.

"No no I'm dirty from cooking I don't want to get you messy." I told her.

"Nonsense come on." she said while pulling me into a hug.

All I could think was she gonna know I'm pregnant or find out but then when she released me she just smiled at me and I said let eat everyone and we all went to go sit down and eat.

Soon after we were all finished and I started picking up the dishes and started to clean Joshua stopped me and said, "remember you can't pick up heaven stuff or over work baby." and I looked at him like hush.

"Why can't she pick up heavy things." his mom asked in concern.

We just looked at each other and back at his mom and he finally spoke, "well mom we got to tell you something." before he could say another word his mom interrupted him.

"What is it son it's not like she pregnant." she laughed while we just starred at her.

"What is she!" Me and Joshua just looked at each other and back at her and I we shook our heads.

"What in the world please tell me your just joking with me." she just looked at us shaking her head.

"Yes mam it's true I'm pregnant." I said with a nervous voice.

"What were y'all thinking, how far long are you?" She said worrying.

"I'm four months pregnant and next month I'll find out the gender of the twins." I said nervously.

"TWINS your having twins!" She raised her voice.

"Mom calm down I know my mistake I'm staying with her and I'm going to be a good father to my kids." Joshua said firmly making his mom jump.

His mom just starred at him and before she could say anything els she fainted. "MOM!" Joshua yelled out running toward his mom.
