"Aurora." I hear through the door, causing me to squirm inside my grey sheets. I lean my head back against the headboard, pushing my sweaty auburn hair off of my forehead.
"Yeah?" I croak. "Are you alright in there?" My dad asks, his tone panicked. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine." I assure, rolling back over. "You were screaming again, about Keeyan." He says.
"It was just a dream." I explain, more to myself than him. "Okay. Well, I am going to go back to bed." He sighs, causing me to nod. Even though I know for a fact he can't see me.
Ever since my 15th birthday I have been having wicked repetitive nightmares. Every time I closed my eyes images of loved ones dying dance behind my eyelids.
Every time I wake up the same way. A boy will come to me, helping me fight of my attackers before shooting me a small smile. His green eyes would look at me sympathetically before he would place his much larger hand in my shoulder and inform me that: "they are coming."
Whenever I try to ask him who would be coming he leaves, causing me to wake up, alone, and frightened in my small bedroom.
I push myself up, curling my knees to my chest and laying my head on my knees. I wish I had an explanation.
To know why I keep having these repetitive nightmares. I slide my eyes shut. Hoping to talk to Keeyan once more.
Maybe he could give me some answers...
