Chapter 8: Wake up call

After the class was over Ben went to an office Xavier gave Ben. There he had a desk and a computer and not much else, hadn't exactly had time to personalize the office space. Ben was typing away his computer writing down all of his thoughts from the last session. If he had a hard time remembering anything he used a small amphibian form he called Grey matter to remember. When he finished he continued to use Grey matter to study the anatomy of his students and the full potential of their powers. See Grey matters power, was an extreme intelligence far beyond anything the likes of earth has never seen before. Any technology earth had was cute to what Grey matter could cook up. Even Ben's own company was child's play in comparison. As ben was working at the computer a knock was at the door. 

"Come in!" Ben called as he kept working. In came Lorna. Ben looked at her.

"Wanda's awake." Lorna said. Ben looked at her before he jumped off the desk and transformed into Diamondhead. 

"Let's go greet your sister." Ben said as he started walking. Lorna followed close behind. when they got to the lower levels they found the lights going haywire and loud noises could be heard as if someone was throwing stuff around. 

"She's scared." Lorna said. Ben froze and looked at his sister. 

"How do you know?" Ben asked. 

"I don't know. She just is." Lorna replied. 

"Stay here. I'll give you the all clear only then will you enter ok?" Ben said. 

"But i can help!" Lorna protested. 

"Stay!" Ben yelled as he kept going. He then reached the door and opened it to find Hank dodging chairs and medical utensils being thrown. Ben looked and found Wanda. "Wanda stop!" Ben yelled. Wanda looked at him. She threw a chair but Ben knocked it aside. "Wanda stop! It's me! Lorna's brother!" Ben yelled. Wanda stopped at that. 

"Lorna?" Wanda asked. 

"Yes. Lorna. She's outside. You remember what she said. Your her family and she's mine. I will protect you. Wanda please calm down." Ben said. Wanda looked at him and then started looking around at the mess. "Let's just talk." Wanda then started to put her hands down and hug herself. "Ok. Lorna! It's all good." Ben called. Lorna then slowly entered. "Lorna, mind making us a table from these damaged chairs?" Ben asked. Lorna then started to lift the metal and twisted it into a new table with benches. Wanda looked at it for a moment before she sat down. 

"Your power. It reminds me of our father. I hate our father." Wanda said once she was seated. Lorna sat down. 

"I never met him." Lorna said. Wanda looked at her a little apologetic. 

"I'm sorry." Wanda replied. 

"It's ok, you didn't know." Lorna replied. "I grew up with my mom and... a man i thought was my father. Until I came here and found out he wasn't. They died in a plane crash. almost 10 years ago. I was 4 when it happened. Ben and Grandma say my powers must have saved my life as it was the only explanation on why I came out fine." Lorna explained. the pair were quiet for a while before Wanda spoke up.

"I was separated from my mother when i was 5." Wanda said looking down at the table. "I don't remember much. Just me and my brother getting lost. Then we were taken by strangers. They poked us until our powers showed. My brothers powers made him move fast. He looked like a blur. Not long after our father found us. I don't know how. He just did. He took us in and tried to teach us to use our powers. Pietro was soo good at learning." Wanda said. She seemed to get angry. "I wasn't. Because i couldn't control it. He put me in that hospital. I hated that place. I hated them for leaving me there." Wanda said growing angry. Ben could see her eyes as they started glowing red. "They left me." She cried. Ben had to act fast.
