abby, shay and i have been staying in the same motel room for the past week, and every night has been sushi night, and movie night.
i'm not complaining at all.
mason hasn't been speaking to me a lot lately, which is kind of weird. i'm guessing it's from that awkward moment in my room.
"sooo, what's happening with you and loverboy" abby says in a weird tone, coming to sit beside me on my bed. "first of all, don't ever call anyone loverboy ever again" i cringe at the nickname, "second of all, i have no clue who your talking about" i shrug my shoulders, trying to act clueless. Shay and Abby see right through me, "come on now, we all know you and mason are all lovey dovey" shay adds in, smiling at me knowingly.
"lovey dovey" i repeat, laughing at the stupid phrase, "no we are not lovey dovey and probably never will be. he doesn't like me back" i shake my head quickly, taking a bite of the sushi that i've been holding in my hand. "shut up matilda pravong" Abby snacks my arm playfully, "ive never met mason in my life, but i've seen the instagram posts, and, the comments, and the way you blush over the text messages he sends you" She continues as i block my ears.
"i don't want to hear it" i shake my head, "i like mason; he doesn't like me, we won't be a thing because the media will start making rumours about us, they already have" shay looks at me with a sad look on her face, "tilly, i'm sorry that you have to go through all the hate and everything, but the media can't choose who you can and can't have a crush on. only you can" I smile at the slight bitterness in Shays voice.
"yeah but~" i get cut off my Abby speaking up loudly, "you like mason, mason likes you! what more is there to it? one of you need to make a move and soon, before i rip my eyes out!" she yells dramatically, grabbing at the roots of her hair.
i don't even get a chance to speak before shay decides to put her two cents in. like she hasn't already. "and, it's your birthday in what? five days? he's bound to do something special for you" shay rolls her eyes, pointing out total stupidness between mason and i.
is stupidness even a word?
"you guys are out of your mind to think that mason is gonna make a move" i out quotation marks around the last three words, rolling my eyes.
"so you should" Abby shrugs her shoulders plainly, raising her eyebrows slightly. my mouth hangs open in return.
"that's the craziest thing i've ever heard you say, and you say lots of crazy things" i point out, "It's not stupid if it's true" shay adds in as i look over at her with my mouth agape this time.
"you think i" i point to myself, taking a pause, "can ask, mason out?" i put emphasis on his name.
"yeah? he'll probably think it's hot and all," Abby nods her head while smiling, "you are a complete maniac"
