“Damon Salvatore, you promised me that you were going to change!” Elena shouted at Damon, hitting his arm.
Damon stepped out of the way to let her into the house and watched as she looked at the young girl. “I couldn’t kill her. I couldn’t and it’s really annoying me because I don’t know why.”
Elena looked at him with a hard look. “Maybe it was your conscious, if you even have one.” She walked towards Amelia and sat next to her, keeping her distance. “Hi, I’m Elena Gilbert. Are you alright?”
Amelia slowly looked at her with a pained look. “They were just lying there and they wouldn’t get up,” she whispered.
“She saw them?” Elena hissed at Damon.
“Then Bella wouldn’t wake up,” Amelia added quietly.
Elena frowned. “Who’s Bella?” she asked no one in particular.
“Bella is her sister,” Caroline said, walking downstairs. “And she is currently undergoing some Bonnie healing.”
Elena looked at Amelia again and saw her lip pouting. “You can cry you know. It’s better than bottling it all up,” she said softly.
Amelia slowly began to cry and Elena moved closer to her. She held out her arms and Amelia timidly leant against her. Elena wrapped her arms around her and let the girl cry into her shoulder.
Bonnie walked downstairs and smiled as she saw Elena and Amelia. “Hey guys,” she said.
“Any luck?” Caroline asked her.
Bonnie shook her head with a sigh. “Nope, she seems to be in some sort of deep sleep healing process.” She turned to Damon. “How far did you bite?” she asked, flashing him a wink.
“So she’s going to be ok?” Elena asked.
“Yeah,” Bonnie said with a smile. “She should wake up some time tomorrow.”
Damon let out a sigh of relief. “Good,” he muttered.
Caroline looked at him with an amused expression. “Wow, I didn’t think you even had feelings.”
“Oh he does,” a small voice said.
Everyone looked at the younger girl and Elena let go of her as she moved further back to inspect her.
“And how do you know this?” she asked, interested.
Amelia smirked at Damon as she wiped away her tears. “We got to know each other last night,” she told the group. “Didn’t we Damie?”
