Bruce woke up really early in the morning, his work was due today. He finished the rest of the work then put his and Vance's work together. They ended up getting an A+, on Bruce's part at least. he hoped Vance would be nicer today considering he was the reason Vance didn't fail English. but no, Vance was still Vance. Vance's mother spoke with him "Vance, who's that boy that your teacher asked me about?"  Vance looked confused "what? what boy?" "I think it's like, br-Brian? maybe Bruce?" Vance suddenly looked mad "what about him?" "she asked why you didn't like him, who's this boy?" "it's no one." It didn't matter to his mother. why did she need to know about him? "honey, I don't know who this boy is. but please be nice to him" Vance didn't want to see his mother upset. So he tried making an effort to be nicer to Bruce. I don't know what nice means to Vance, but he certainly wasn't any nicer to Bruce.

"Vance hopper! your principal called, again! what did I say about being nice to Bruce?" she was raising her voice at him. He hated when she did that. It would make him choke on his own words "m-mom! you d-don't understand!" Vance kept stuttering. It caught him off guard when his parents yelled at him. "if I get one more call from the principal about Bruce, you will be sorry. I mean it Vance." "y-yes" Vance went to his room. he took deep breaths. Vance never got upset, but he hated when his parents yelled. it reminded him of his childhood. all there ever was was screaming and crying. the next day at school Vance went to Bruce. "Hi." "Hi Vance. Did you need something?" "No, just that I'm sorry." what? why would he apologize? this was really Vance, right? "for what?" "For being rude to you ask the time. I was just jealous of you." "oh. uhm.. it's fine." "Can we restart? maybe just be friends?" Vance hated this. He kept reminding himself it was just for his mom. He had to do this. " sure!" "great.."

after school, Bruce asked if Vance wanted to hang out. he really didn't want to, but he had too. they went to Bruce's house and watched a movie. Vance wasn't gonna lie, he was.. kinda fun to hang out with. but this doesn't mean he's my friend! Vance left soon after. He went home and fell asleep right away, he was exhausted. Bruce definitely was an energetic one. "Vance wake up your gonna be late!" his dad yelled at him to wake up. He didn't have enough time to eat, he just got changed then left. Everyday the same thing happened. When he would get to school, Bruce and him would walk to class together. It became their little thing. Bruce would have to what for Vance most times because if his much Vance had been late. But he didn't mind.

Bruce and his little sister Amy were waking. "soo who's that guy that always comes over?" "his names Vance. Why?" "can I hang out with you guys today? I never get to hang out with you anymore!"  Bruce chuckled "uhm Amy.. he's not the type of person you can hang out with. He isn't like Finney or billy." "What's he like?" Bruce sighed "he's.. aggressive. He gets angry quite easily. I'd hate for him to get mad at you" "aww okay. but soon?" "I'll tell you what, he's busy on Thursday, we can hang out then. I'll play dolls with you?" "yay thank you so much brucey!" Bruce hated when she called him that. But he never told. He hated seeing his little sister upset. Especially when it was his fault.

Vance's pov: god I hate hanging out with him. but I love it. I'm tired of being his friend. I have no choice though. You just gonna have to get used to it, Vance. There's no going back. plus, what would mom say if you stopped being friends with him? Correction, what would she do?  maybe it'll get better. Maybe you'll end up loving being his friend. I doubt it, but who knows?
