Brad's POV
It was Maths and I just couldn't stop staring at Alaska, she was just so different. She didn't have that look that most 17 year olds had. Her features were striking. She had dark black wavey hair and chocolate brown eyes and tjis plum coloured lips that suited her face perfectly. I just couldn't take my eyes off of her. She probably thinks I'm some jerk for what happened earlier today, but I'm not like those other guys. Sure they're my friends but I dont always agree with how they treat people like Alaska.
The bell rang for the second period and I hopped up the same time as Alaska and knocked all the books out of her hands. She instantly dropped to the floor and kept her head down trying not to look at me. I jumped down besides her and helped her pick her geograpy books up. She looked so frightened of me, I felt bad.
"You dont have to be scared, I'm not like the rest of them."
She looked at me for a while and replied
"I can see so. But you still choose to be friends with them, why is that?"
The way she said it with slight cheekiness in her voice but then her tone changed to serious towards the end of her sentance.
"Well they're my friends and even though they can be jerks they still there for me."
She looked at me with amazement and we bothed smirked a bit. I knew what I was about to say would riluin my reputation, but here go's nothing.
"Hey would it be ok if I sit with you at break today?"
