But also a word that I don't really care for because its rude and unkind. Probably won't be the last time you see the word because it fits into the story. I'm sorry if it bothers anyone. It was Friday, pep rally day. Where everyone is in the gym, to celebrate sports and academics. They began by celebrating the sports teams and explaining their plan for the season. Football goes first, as they have been forever. The captain Blake, explains that he's excited for the season. After football it's lacrosse, then it's swimming, then track. Then after all the sports the dance team comes out and performs.
Last year their seniors were always in front for their four year of school. So no one knows who is going to be in the front now. As the show started everyone was surprised to see the so-called quiet girl in the front. Paxton wasn't quiet once you got to know her. The only way people knew it was her because of her hair, it was always blood red, it never got faded.
On the sidelines Blake was sitting with his bimbo cheerleader girlfriend on his lap watching the performance. Paxton caught his eye along with two others in the school, with interest to know who she was. Those other two were Cameron and Ace. Cameron was gay or so he thought, he didn't look gay by the standards of the school. No one knows he gay. He has a girlfriend, but he feels her drifting away because she is never with him any more. But he could care less.
Ace, he is the captain of the lacrosse team. He has been single since his ex broke up with him at the end of the year last year. She was kinda psychotic, she made up bullshit that he was cheating on her, so she broke it up. While in all reality she was the one cheating.
The three are captivated by Paxton, she is the shy type. But once you know her she is sarcastic, goofy, and fun to be around. While the three are interested in her. She is mentally freaking out. It's her senior year, and the second year at this school, but she doesn't like all the eyes on her. But that is not the thing that is getting to her, it is the three strong gazes coming from different directions of the room.
Once she starts, the weight is lifted, but their gazes hold strong. After their performance, she wants to throw up. After her team sits down, she doesn't go to the back entrance. Her nerves got to her, she threw up outside, she can't go back in.
After an hour of the pep rally, they let everyone go to their classes. She goes to change, once she is done she goes to class, and everyone bombards her. She can't deal with everyone trying to befriend her now that she is on the dance team. Once she arrives at her bike she puts everything on it and leaves, diving aimlessly.
The other three are confused as to where the hell Paxton went. Cameron broke up with his girlfriend; she didn't make a fuss, because she was going to do the same with him. Blake never had feelings for his girlfriend, she just started clinging to him like a bug. He got used to it, but now he wants the pest gone.
