i know you're out of my league,
but that won't scare me away

THIRD PERSON.

Rosemary had been awake for just over an hour early that morning despite running off three hours sleep. She was the first out of the couple awake and the first to leave the apartment to do a coffee run, grabbing breakfast for both her and for Corbyn.

With no texts from Corbyn and the assumption that he was still asleep, she arrived back at her apartment and walked through the door just past 9AM, beginning to unlock the door again.

"Where'd you go?" Corbyn spoke up as she jumped slightly.

"I just went and got you some breakfast." She said as she finished locking the door, turning round to face her apartment while coming face to face with the boy stood with a bouquet of tulips in his hand and a book in the other, "oh."

"You wanted a grand gesture and didn't want it left until last minute." Corbyn smiled, "this is the best I can do.. will you be my valentine?"

"What's the book?" She frowned slightly as his eyes widened and he glanced to it.

"Harry said it's on your to be read list," he said through a small laugh, "I picked it up last night."

"Where are the flowers from?"

"The finest florist in the city." He shrugged as Rosemary gave him a smile, "I picked those up while you were still sleeping, they were hidden in one of your kitchen cabinets."

"...I'll be your valentine." She nodded with a slight laugh, placing the coffees down on the table and taking the flowers from his hand, "I need to put those in a vase."

"Yes, good idea." Corbyn replied, placing the book down and following her through to her kitchen, "we do already have a date planned by the way."

"We do?" She raised her eyebrows at him, "for Valentine's day?"

"We start with lunch at 12:30." Corbyn nodded, resting his head on top of hers whilst watching her fill the vase with water, his hands shaking around her waist, "then we're going to a bookstore and you can pick out any books you like, then-"

"So you're basically being my designated bookstore boyfriend for the day? You've already bought me a book."

"And I'm going to buy you more, moving on." He frowned with a smile, "after the bookstore, we're spending the afternoon at the beach with a small picnic but nothing too big... we need to have enough room for our meal at 5."

"Am I going to get a chance to treat you that day?" Rosemary asked as she placed the flowers into the vase, picking it up as she turned to face the boy, "I'd like to take you somewhere."

"Okay.. you have all morning."

"Breakfast." Rosemary smiled, "10am. We're going for coffee."

"Deal."

"We're meeting there." She nodded, "The Happy Mug, our favourite."

"Okay." Corbyn smiled, watching her place the vase right beside her kitchen window, "dress code?"

"Whatever our dress code for the rest of the day is," she turned to him, "I'll be wearing one of my nice dresses so I expect a lot from you."
