GreyDust flicked his ears. He had to find her! After what had happened to that other wolf... Well he didn't like to think about it. Racing through the mud, his fur caked in the plastery brown stuff, his fur all wet and sticky and his paw drummed the ground. It was a week after Chaos had picked him to be the searcher, as he was well know to have the sharpest nose in his old pack.

Pack. His memories flashed before his eyes. Pain, sorrow, anger. The day that Chaos henchmen came for his pack, the day his world stopped.

They came in a large pack of twenty, howling and snarling. He had been playing just a bit outside the den with his sister, Mirra. They had heard the screams of his family, his mother and the howls of their father, and then, Silence. It was an eerie silence , not a quiet and peaceful one, the one that you'd get on a summers day. The large black wolves came racing towards him and his sister. That's all he remembered.

"I've got to find her! Before Chaos does! I don't want any wolf to be hurt like me again! Not ever!" He raced on, his eyes brave and strong.
