"James Potter and Albus Potter mummy says hurry up or you'll miss the train!" yelled lily from the top of the stairs.
they both got their trunks out and took them down stairs.
"excited for your first year at Hogwarts?" James asked Albus.
"you know it!" said Albus excitedly.
" I hope I get into Gryffindor." said Albus who was going into his first year.
they all ate their breakfast and went to the train station.
on the train Albus sat next to his brother, and his friends.
when they were getting off the train Albus asked
"James to you really think I'll be put into Gryffindor?"
" your Albus POTTER of course you will."
Hagrid called all the first years and Albus had to leave his brothers side.
Albus was amazed at the view of the castle from the boats. he was waiting in line for his name to be called, he searched around the great hall for his brother. when he finally found him professor McGonagall called out
"Albus Potter!" he walked up and McGonagall placed the sorting hat on his head.
" another Potter hey!" said the hat.
"if you're anything like the rest of your family it better be GRYFFINDOR!!!" he said. Albus took off the hat and ran to sit next to his brother.

Albus was a little homesick and was staring out the window. he missed knowing that his sister was sleeping in the next room. he missed his wall covered in Gryffindor flags, jerseys ext. James was thirsty and was walking into the common room to get some water when he saw Albus by the window.
"why aren't you sleeping?" asked James
"why aren't you?" Albus asked back.
" I got thirsty." said James.
"what about you?" he asked.
" just a little homesick." Albus admitted
James forgot about his thirst and sat next to his brother.
"you'll see them during Christmas." said James trying to cheer him up.
" that's in a long time from now." said Albus.
James didn't know what to tell him after he said that.
" I'm gonna go get some water." he finally said.
Albus went with him to get water because James was the only family with him at Hogwarts.
"after awhile you get used to not being with your family." said James.
James finally got Albus to laugh and they were playfully pushing each other.
Albus accidently pushed James to hard and when he hit the wall the wall opened, revealing a strange room with something inside. out of curiosity they both entered the strange room and saw that what was inside was some kind of machine.
Albus pushed a button and all of a sudden they were in Diagon alley.
James was instantly furious at his brother for pushing that button.
