-Felix's POV-
Dudes being dudes.
"I'M SO FUCKING KAWAII," Ken yelled.
It was Ken, Cry, and I, playing some weeaboo karaoke game that all of our viewers wanted us to play. But I gotta admit, like Ken said, it was pretty kawaii.
It was some Vocaloid game, which I really only knew about Hatsune Miku, so that's who I played as. Besides, I'm way too fab to be any of those other Voca-whores. Cry was Len, some yellow little schoolboy, and Ken was Gumi, this girl with green hair. (She probably was one of the Voca-whores.)
"Okay," Cry said, adjusting his mask. "What even is the point of this godforsaken game?"
"You act like I know. I don't," I responded sassily as I picked up my controller. I've never played a Japanese playstation game before; much less one about singing animu characters.
"Well," Ken offered. "Maybe if it wasn't in Japanese, or if one of us could read Japanese."
"You can't??" I joked. "Uncultured SWINE."
"Yeah, Ken's a swine," Cry agreed, cracking up. Ken shot him a quick glare.
"You're talking now but just wait until I beat both your asses," Ken replied smartly with a smirk, hitting a button and going into what appeared to be a song selection. "Where's the microphones?"
"Umm, here," I said, handing them each one.
Cry took his, delicately moving his mask forwards just slightly so he could put the mic under near his mouth, and proceeded to death metal scream.
"Hoorah," he concluded in a weird accent. I kind of just stared at him a moment before sputtering and snickering.
"You're so lame," I say, shaking my head and smiling lightly. I looked at Ken, who seemed suddenly cross. "What?"
"What??" He looked away, concentrating at the foreign text on the screen.
"Why do you look angry at me?" I crossed my arms and frowned.
"I'm not angry at you, I never said I was, did I?"
"No, but the look on your face said it for you."
"Dude, come on, just stop. Let's just play the game, okay?" He huffed out a sigh and then glanced at me, the angry expression gone, something different in his eyes now.
"Yeah, ok. That sounds good. I mean, that's why we're here, right?" Cry awkwardly interjected, laughing. I raised an eyebrow.
"What the fuck is even going on?"
Cry and Ken looked at each other and started laughing, like they knew something I didn't. "Felix, you go first." Cry sat in his chair, which is when I realized we were all standing. I sat too.
"Alright. Uhh..." I kept going up and down through the songs because I really didn't know what they said. I came across one where it's screenshot was Miku holding a giant onion-type vegetable. That seemed pretty neat so I clicked on it. A prompt came up so I just picked a random option, it turned out to be having English subtitles (kudos to the creator for being cool enough to put that in, Swedish is better but whatever).
The music started almost immediately and I got lost just as quick. "Popipopipopi.." I tried to sing along, really confused, and then she went, "WEEEEEEE!" And I went, "What the fuck?" As Cry and Ken laughed at me. I decided to try to go with the English words instead of pronouncing Japanese and I started to realize it was a really weird song. "Why am I talking about vegetable juice?????" I started making up complete gibberish, earning laughs from both my friends. "WHAT THE FUCCCCCCKKKKKKKK!" I yelled when the song ended.
"10/10," Cry praised, laughing. "Best singer."
"Why thank you Cry," I grinned.
"Alright, my turn," Ken said, cracking his knuckles.
"No, mine," Cry argued. He grabbed the microphone from me, his hand fumbling mine as he tried to grab it, and I stood there feeling slightly awkward. He turned to Ken- I assumed he was glaring; I couldn't tell because of that stupid mask he always wore. Well, the mask itself wasn't stupid- it was a pretty good looking mask- just the principle was. Still, that was the alluring part about him.
I made a weird face, wondering why I chose that word in my head, but then turned to them. "Babies. Here, pick a number one through one thousand, and whoever's closer to my number will go first. I'll write it on my hand now." I grabbed a pen from the top of the console and scribbled something on my hand.
"And they get to be the winner of the game?" Cry asked hopefully.
"No," I said slowly, in a confused tone. "We still haven't played through your songs. Which, I got a-" I look at the screen. "-3450. Beat that, BITCHES!"
Ken looked at Cry with somewhat of a bittersweet expression, something I barely even caught. I opened my mouth to bring it up, but then my phone started to buzz. "I'll be right back," I told them as I started to walk out of the room.Cry's POV
Ken gave me a look as soon as Felix left the room, the door still open slightly ajar. "Dude, stop."
I grin behind my mask, thankful that I had it, since he couldn't see. "Stop what?" I asked him in an innocent tone, staring directly into his dark eyes.
"Dude, we both said that we wouldn't flirt with Felix anymore. I get that you like him, and I like him just as much. But he's dating Marzia- a girl- so just chill about it, okay?"
I blushed, thankful again he couldn't see me. "I wasn't flirting with him."
"Please. All those compliments and the prolonged hand contact? Which by the way was really awkward looking and he totally didn't enjoy it." Ken rolled his eyes. "I'm trying to be mature about it and I think you should too." Usually his light accent made him have a less serious tone, but I could tell he really meant it.
"Right. Sorry." I signed and looked down. "Plus, I wouldn't want to jeopardize his relationship with Marzia. It's just that whenever he's happy, I'm happy. Whenever he's sad, I want to make him happy."
Ken nodded, comprehending my statement. "I literally feel the same way. But, both our ships are stuff for tumblr; it's not like either of us could get our way, I don't think." He reached up and itched his jaw. He really needed to shave. I doubt Felix would ever want that in a boyfriend. I suddenly became aware that I was still facing him and hoped that he hadn't noticed. Not showing my face has some cons as well as the pros.
Ken gave me a condescending look like he had known that I mentally critisized his appearance. "At least I don't keep my face all hidden," he mumbled. I acted like I couldn't hear, but I could. I frowned and sat back in my chair, breathing deeply.
The tense mood lifted almost immediately when the door swung back open and Felix stepped back in. For a split second, he seemed almost....sad. But then a grinned formed on his lips, and he marched back over to the console. "Okay, I'm back!"
"Are you okay?" I asked softly, Ken's eyes flicking up to us.
"Uh," Felix scoffed, turning away from me slightly. "Never been better!" But there was a glint in his eyes that said otherwise. I watched him suspiciously.
Then, me and Ken somehow at the same time remembered the number game. I said 478 at the same time Ken said 821.
"What?" He raised an eyebrow.
"The number thing," I said quickly, before Ken could. "To see who could go first?"
"Ohhhh," Felix laughed, looking at his hand. "699. So, Ken goes now." Felix leaned forward to adjust something with the game and Ken smirked at me. I sighed.
Since when did everything between me and him become a game for Felix?----
