You dragged your feet along the smooth floors, gazing out the window as the blabbers and gossip gradually descended to a fade. Your E/C orbs focused on the bright scenery, blatantly ignoring the obvious flirtation occurring right in front of you. Your arms slummed downwards, feeling the weight of disregarded acknowledgement from your friend, Ringo Ando. The name constantly rang through your head no matter what time it was. The thought of her sweet smile and emerald eyes brought you to your worst vulnerability, falling for each word she spoke, each sound that rang from her vocal chords. The flare and frustration in your face announced itself as you struggled to find the words to tell her how much she meant to you, to tell her that you longed for her attention, to tell her that you'd do anything... just anything to have her in your arms. Alas, the attempts resonated within the depths of your heart, filling with hopelessness as she mentioned the name of your contender.
"C'mon, Ringo! It's only 5 minutes away— one bite from there, and you'll be a regular sooner or later."
"The offer seems tempting... but I'll have to decline, Mags. I really need to study with Y/N tonight, We could try... maybe next weekend?"
"Screw studying! Hey, Y/N, is it okay if I steal Ringo for today? I really need her to see this cafe."
Your fixture beyond the windows snapped, directing your attention towards the dark-purple haired male, "Huh? Oh, uh... sure. Yeah," you stuttered, fixing the collar of your shirt.
"See? Y/N's cool with it! Pleaaase?"
"I— Maguro..." Ringo groaned, rolling her eyes at the tuna boy, "ugh, fine. Y/N, are you gonna be okay?"
"Ah... it's alright, Rings. I can study by myself." You responded, choking on your spit as you felt the pellets of sweat drip down your face.
The sudden glee and excitement sparked between the two best friends, leaving you at the entrance of the school. The clouds grew larger each second, gradually developing a deeper shade than the last (oh wow, perfect timing). You sighed again, quickly covering your head with your bag, preparing for the upcoming drizzle.
As you turned the corner, you saw Ringo and Maguro laughing down the street, racing each other towards their favorable destination. Your shoulders drooped, slowing your pace down, attempting to save yourself from the sight. It brought... anger(?) to you. Why couldn't she see you? You were so close— you carefully planned it: study at your house, write a note in one of her textbooks, then directly tell her in person the next day after school. But, of course, the one time it was perfect, it was sabotaged by the plea of the Kendama Player.
The rain became to pick up, signaling you to rush home through the streets of traffic and wind. It was hopeless to try at this rate; maybe you two weren't meant to be together.
"I think it's better to stay away." A whisper emitted.

Turning multiple pages in your book, you were overwhelmed with knowledge and text. Even with light music playing in your room, your groans and moans of annoyance were the only audible sounds coming from the walls. You threw yourself on your back, hands rushing through your (H/L) hair strands, grumbling and whining at the health science notes sitting on the table.
"You know what? I quit! I'm just gonna drop out and—"
Your short ramble was cut shortly after a resounding ring from your doorbell was announced to you. You sat up, confused at the abrupt intervention at your front door. Who the hell is here at this hour? You initially thought, nearly tripping downstairs and stumbling towards your front door.
