ELEANOR WAS SHOCKED, "No, that's crazy." Eleanor laughed to herself, she looked at all 3 of her friends to realize they weren't joking. "Oh, you're not joking?" Gwen scoffed softly, "C'mon, Ellie, this could really help you out, nobody would fuck with you." Gwen gave a smirk. "Okay... but this means I have to fake date one of my friends.""It's no biggie," Finney shrugged at his friend. "It is a biggie, Finn." Eleanor gave him a small pointed look. "Look, it'll only be for a while, just until those fuckers stop messing with you," Robin excused, glancing at Eleanor. "Hm," Eleanor hummed to herself, looking down at her fiddling fingers.
"We don't have to—
"Deal, only for a few months." Eleanor interrupted him, "Good." Robin grinned at her, "We need a contract though." Eleanor gave a grin of her own as Robin laughed. "Okay, whatever makes Nora happy."
___________
"Number one, no kisses on the lips." Eleanor gave him a look, "But—," "No, I don't want my firsts to be fake, Robby." Eleanor laughed at his face from the nickname. "Don't call me that, and you haven't been kissed before?" Robin was shocked, stunned even. "Nope." Eleanor smiled as she shook her head.
"Oh," Robin nodded, writing the first rule down, "What about you? What's your rule?" Eleanor looked over at him, tilting her head slightly to view his features. "You, have to go to the drive-in with my uncle and I, every Friday night." Robin gave a smile, Eleanor nodded, "Deal."
"Are forehead and cheek kisses allowed?" Robin asked, looking over to Eleanor with a pen in his hand, "Sure," Eleanor nodded with a grin. "Cool," Robin wrote that down as an important notice, "And hugs." Eleanor interjected. "And hugs," Robin restated as he wrote it on the piece of paper.
"Anything else?" Eleanor asked, Robin thought for a bit before grinning widely, "I could... write you notes? Like small messages, or something like that." Robin looked over to see Eleanor with a smile. "You'd do that?"
"Yeah, of course." Robin gave a small laugh before writing that down. This was going to be the start to something good, Eleanor felt it within her.
_________
"I can't believe you actually agreed to that." Gwen chuckled as she walked beside her friend, Eleanor. "I know, me too." Eleanor smiled while looking at her friend and fake-boyfriend in front of her and Gwen. "You guys are a cute, fake couple." Gwen said in a sing-song voice while nudging Eleanor. "Shut up," Eleanor giggled, shaking her head slightly.
"Whatcha guys talking about?" Robin asked as he turned around and walked backwards with Finney. "Nothing," Eleanor laughed to herself, Robin gave her a grin before turning back around to Finney. "Do you see the way he looks at you?" Gwen laughed to herself as she looked at Robin and Eleanor.
"What?" Eleanor was confused, "He seems to like actually like you." Gwen chuckled, "In what way?" Eleanor laughed to herself, "Like... he doesn't hate you, he actually cares for you."
___________
Eleanor laid on her back, lying on her carpeted bedroom floor. "Need a ride to your aunt's café?" Her mother asked, putting her wallet into her purse. "Yes, please!" Eleanor jumped up, grabbing her book and Walkman before following her mother out of the house. They both walked to the car, getting in and starting to back up.
"You'll be able to walk home, right?" She asks Eleanor, "Yeah, that's fine!" Eleanor nodded, "I have to go meet your uncle, he's coming down to stay with us for the weekend, by the way." Eleanor looked over and nodded slowly. "Okay."
