"Here's fine." I informed the taxi driver, as he pulled up to my childhood home in the neighborhood where all my memories remained. Mullingar. Oh how I missed this place.
As I dragged my luggage up to the front door where my family laid inside, I took a deep breath and smiled around looking at the neighborhood. I was wearing dark jeans and a light pink tank top, while my hair was curled a little and i hate white flats on. I then looked across the street at the house where I spent most of my childhood, my second family, that's where Niall lived. To think how much time has changed since then, he really had become one of the most successful boys in the world.
I was the first one he called when he made it on the X factor… I'll remember that call forever. The excitement in his voice made me cry, and I knew right then and there, that things were going to be a little different between us.
We talked a good amount up until the live shows, and even then he still made sure to call if he made it through to the next round.
The day they placed 3rd, was rough, but after Simon signed them all, I knew this wasn't the end of the road for the boys, simply a better beginning.
We didn't talk as much after that… things got crazy for him and I understood that, but I couldn't let go of the fact that it killed me inside. I had to realize that I wasn't a key factor of his life anymore. Things were moving to fast for me to keep up and we simply lost contact after awhile.
I rang the doorbell to my house wondering who'd open the door.
"Kiki!!!" My 2 year old sister managed to say, in my fathers arms.
A gasped look approached my face, this was the first time I'd seen her in person since they all visited me when she was about 3months, wow she had grown up.
"Annabelle… Dad… I…" I managed to say, it wasn't much though.
The two of them then welcomed me with a warm hug and helped me inside.
I heard some voices in the kitchen, my mother, and someone else that I couldn't quite make out.
"You're early." My father said to me, putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Who's here?" I asked him, ignoring what he said.
He laughed a little then handed Annabelle to me to hold, and she wrapped her arms around my neck, gently though.
"Maura!" Annabelle answered me, though she said it more like "Moo-Ra".
Niall's mother was in my kitchen, just like how things used to be, I guess things haven't changed as much as I thought.
I slowly creeped down the hall with Annabelle in my arms to greet my birth mom, and the lady I still considered to be my second mother.
I peaked my head in slowly, seeing they were both facing the other way, they must not of heard the doorbell ring.
"Oh hey didn't see you there. My name's Keely I used to live here. Hi." I remarked sassily, it was normal around these two though… or atleast it used to be.
The two of them jumped when I spoke at first then turned around to look at me with surprised smiles.
"Keely you're home!" My mom said as she ran to give me a hug, I put Annabelle down before my mother basically squeezed me to death.
"I've missed you so much!" I said to her, then broke away.
I then locked eyes with Maura afterwards, she gave me the sweetest smile then opened up her arms to me, so I ran over and gave her a big hug.
