"Well these are...these are interesting." Abby pulled a face.
"What you mean you don't love our designer outfits?" I asked sarcastically.
"Well It's not that I don't love them. They're just...interesting."
I laughed. "So they're not the most gorgeous things we've ever seen. But
we can put our own twist on them!" I said trying to keep things positive.
"You have a valid point." She nodded. "Alright i'm gonna go change out of
this monkey suit and get ready for practice." She said walking into the
bathroom.
"Alright, me too." I began to take off what was our Opening Ceremony
outfit and hung it up on the hangers it's come on. I mean it was a
beautiful outfit, it just wasn't really me. Actually. I don't really think it was
anyone's style. But hey. Us Americans. We can pull anything off.
I hung up the garmet bag and changed into my suit and chose an outfit
out of all the gear we'd been given last night. I'd put on my sweats and
grabbed my shammy and slung my bag on my back.
"Hey Abs I'll meet you at the pool. I'm gonna give my Dad a call." I
yelled so she could hear me through the bathroom door.
"Alright I'll see you there." She yelled back.
With that I slipped on my Nikes and began the walk to the pool. It was a
bit of a walk but it was a nice day and there was plenty of time for me to
get there on time.
I opened up my contacts and found my Dad's name and pressing the call
button.
It rung 5 times before I got his voice mail. Great. I forgot we were 5
hours ahead. My bad.
"Hey, you've reach Rob and Joules and Addy. We're not here right now
but leave us a message and we'll get back to you! **beep**"
"Hey Dad it's me. Just wanted to call and see how things are going. I'm
just on my way to training right now. I'll give you a call later on your cell.
Love you guys so much and I miss you like crazy!" I said and hung up.
I stopped real quick and went into my bag to get my beats I plugged them
into my phone and put on my 'Training playlist' it was a personal favorite
that always got me pumped for training. I was singing and dancing along
collecting odd looks from people but whatever.
I was around the corner from the training center and decided to text Abby
that I was here while I was walking into the center.
I'm not sure if I'm just that bad on timing or if I'm considered lucky but as
i was texting I bumped into someone. Lone and behold it was non other
than Tom. The guy I had bumped into yesterday.
I sighed and blushed and took off y headphones.
"You know we really have to stop meeting like this. And you really have to
