"Lana! Get in the car so your not late for school!" My mum screams from the other side of the house.
"Okay I'll be down there in a few" I yell back down to her. I quickly text Calum, my best friend, and run down stairs. I grab my school bag off of the sofa and quickly jump into the car. "Hey mum." "Yes sweetie?"She says very politely. "Why can't I get my learners permit? I'm 15 and I still have my mum take me to school. Calum just got his license and he's getting a new car this Fall. A black and red Mustang to be exact." I tell her trying to get her to cave in. "Lana. My beautiful Lana." She starts saying, sounding sweet. "Your not ready. I don't care about all of your friends. You'll get your permit when your ready and your simply not ready." She says sounding agitated. "Fine, whatever." I roll my eyes and get out of the car. My mum rolls down the car window and yells "Have a fantastic day Sweet Pea!" I give her the were not related look and walk off.

After 3rd period is lunch. I speed walk to the cafeteria and get the usual. I get a chicken biscuit and fresh french fries from our Chick-Fil-A kiosk. I see Calum with his friend Michael and I walk over to them. "Hey Cal. Why didn't you answer my text this morning?" I ask. "I, uh, had some stuff to do." He nervously replies. "Yeah stuff." Michael sarcastically says. Calum nudges him and looks back to me. "Is their something you wanted to tell me" I smile, "No, I just wanted to walk to school together. Like we used to." "I'll walk home with you today" he says with a smile and then the bell rings to go to 4th period. "Bye Lana" Michael and Calum say at the exact same time. "See ya."

When the final bell of the day rings, I go straight to Cal's locker and wait for him. I see him walking down the hall with Casey Simmons. I clench up but I don't know why. They are clearly into each other and it makes me sick. Her dad owns a computer company and is insanely rich. Therefore, she is a complete spoiled brat. She has tons of friends and the biggest house I've ever seen. Next thing you know, her and Calum are walking out of the school and getting into her car. "I can't believe it. He ditched me for her." I mumble. I storm out of the building and run to my house. I have all these emotions and I just want to let them all out. I am feeling jealous, sad, mad, and confused at the same time. I am still trying to figure out how that can be. Once I get to my room I instantly begin to cry. I don't know why I'm so jealous. I don't like him like, like like him. I honestly don't know. I lay down and try to get some sleep.
