Battle City Begins

Author's Note: This chapter may not be long, my apologies in advance. It's main purpose is to serve as filler as I prepare to write the next chapter. This will veer off from the Battle City story line but it's all for the sake of the story.  Love you, all. <3

"I'll kill him!" Seto raged, slamming his fists on to his desk. We had sent Mokuba home with Roland so that Seto and I could talk.

"Seto, calm down, it was just.."

"Stupid!" he yelled. "He tried to take what was mine again. Who does he thinks he is?"

"He's confused, love." I stated. "He's still discovering who he is. He's a 5000 year old pharaoh, he doesn't exactly know what's going on with him right now."

"Shut up about that Egyptian crap. It was nothing more than a ply to get me to start this tournament. It's not real." Seto shot back at me.

"But it is! You can't deny what we saw at the museum a few night ago.."I said softly.

"It's all hocus pocus nonsense, Emma. I thought you'd  be smarter than to let them drag you in to any of that."

"Are you serious?" I fought back. "It's irrefutable. She showed us the past. I saw us in Egypt. I saw the pharaoh, and I saw you too."

"It was just a hologram!"

I quickly stood up and stared him down, my eyes filled with rage. "I can't even talk to you right now. You're being absolutely ridiculous and annoyingly hard headed." I stated firmly as I turned to walk out the door. Just as I was about to make my leave, I felt a strong hand find its way to my wrist and I was spun around only to be faced with Seto once again. His hand found it's way to my cheek. I felt his slightly callused thumb make it's way up and down against my soft cheek.

"I'm sorry.." he whispered. "I just.. I just can't shake the idea of someone else touching you. I've waited too long to be able to call me mine to lose you to someone like Yugi. I won't do anything to him. He just gave me a reason to duel harder in my tournament."

II smiled up at him and leaned my face into his hand. "What about this Egyptian stuff going on?"

'"Let's just not talk about that anymore.." he said. "I need to go announce the start of the tournament, and I'd love if you came with me.

I took his hand in mine and gave it as gentle squeeze. "Let's go.."

We boarded the Kaiba Corp Helicopter and flew over the city of Domino. The buildings that normally looked so big, looked so small from were we flew and the city was lined with lights from far out buildings. We flew a bit closer to the ground and as I looked out the window, I spotted the roads below filled with hundreds of duelists who have came from all around the world to compete in this tournament. Seto got up and opened the side door of the helicopter, leaning outside and began talking to all the duelist.

"Be sure to go and register to receive your duel disk and locator cards. A week from today, my Battle City Tournament begins!" he yelled out to the duelists below. I could hear the cheers of excitement from the ground, so I decided that I would join Seto outside of the helicopter. The amount of duelists looking up at me took my breath away. Seto definitely didn't spare any expense. As I observed all the duelists below, I quickly spotted Yugi and Joey on the ground. Yugi gave me a gentle wave and I returned it quickly with a flash of a smile. Seto noticed the tri-colored boy waving at me and gave him a stern glare.

"I'm coming for you, Yugi Moto." Seto stated firmly. Yugi's face flushed red, but I couldn't quite make out the expression he wore. I felt sorry for him in a way. He was going to face the wrath of Seto for the actions of Yami, but there's nothing I can do to change that if Seto doesn't believe in the past that Ishizu described to us. Seto grabbed my hand and pulled us back into the helicopter and quickly took a seat and looked away from me and out the window. He placed his hand on my leg, and I set my hand on his.

"I wish I could make you believe.." I whispered to myself. And as the words exited my lips, the Millennium Jewel I wore on my finger began to glow. It felt as if my body was being pulled out of my body as everything began to spend. I closed my eyes for I felt like I was falling. I opened my eyes, and I was no longer on the helicopter with Seto. I looked around the room that I had awakened in. I definitely wasn't in Domino anymore..

Author's Note: I will have the next chapter out either tomorrow morning or tomorrow night. It'll be relatively long so it'll take me awhile to write. I'm also working on another story as well but I promise I won't neglect this one. Thanks for being so amazing. <3
