The night sky looked stunningly beautiful with the bright crescent moon. There was a beautiful woman who looked up at the night sky. She looked down at the palm of her hand seeing a ring. Her heart throbbed and closed her hand. She held the ring close to her chest and stared at the sky seeing the moon
"It's quite a beautiful night. A perfect night to go out...right?" Eden said as she stared at the sky. She clenched onto the ring closely and smiled a little
"...you already know how much I miss you. As much as I try to smile...I really...really..." Eden's voice cracked as tears built up in her eyes while she tried to keep her smile
"I really miss you so much, Ellie. I keep thinking about you every single day..." Eden said and held the ring closely towards her chest
"I keep hoping that...I could see you again...be by your side again....hear your beautiful voice everyday" Eden said as tears rolled down her cheeks
"It'd be nice if you were still here...with me. I feel empty without you, Ellie. Every single day...it hurts. No matter how much I try to smile...I just can't…because you're not here. You were my everything..." Eden said and noticed a small pink glow in front of her. Her eyes widened seeing a small flower crystal floating by her nearby. Eden held her hand out as she touched the small crystal and smiled weakly
"I want to hold you in my arms again and never let go. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you..." Eden said and held the pink crystal closely giving it a gentle small kiss
"...if only I was given another chance to be with you again. And this time I will spend the rest of my life with you. I'd forever love and cherish you, Ellie" Eden said and looked down at the flower crystal seeing it glow slightly more. Eden felt herself feel a bit of warmth inside her and wiped her tears away
"...let me sing your favorite song, Ellie" Eden whispered softly
"Ha! Haah!" The girl gasped as she sat up from her bed panting heavily. She covered her mouth as she began coughing and tried to calm herself down
"...again...why..." Harumin mumbled softly and looked to the side, seeing the time. She got up from the bed and rubbed her head
"I thought drinking would help me rest damnit..." Harumin said and walked towards the bathroom. She stared at herself in the mirror only to see some glimpse of something before blinking
"Should I take the pills?" Harumin asked and heard her phone ring. She took a deep breath in and sighed before getting herself ready for her classes. After a couple of minutes, Harumin got herself ready and grabbed her bag
"Hopefully today's lecture isn't anything important. I don't think I'll be able to focus because of how exhausted I am. I seriously need these damn dreams to stop..." Harumin said, rubbing her eyes. She stepped out of her apartment and closed the door locking it
I should get some coffee to help me throughout the day...
Harumin decided to stop by the cafe before heading to her classes. She looked through her phone while the small pieces of fragments were floating around her which she ignored. Once she arrived, Harumin stepped in being greeted by the manager
"Morning Harumin" The manager said as he smiled
"Morning Udagawa-san" Harumin said
"The usual?" Udagawa asked
"Yes...please" Harumin said
"On it" Udagawa said as he started to prepare her drink
"Seems like your business is going very well" Harumin said
"Yes. The new location is quite nice and I get quite a good amount of customers especially in the mornings and evenings sometimes" Udagawa said
"Your pastries are really delicious. Who makes them?" Harumin asked
"Luckily one of my family members has a talent for baking and I asked if they'd like to help me. Our family helped us a lot in getting a bigger place so I'm very grateful" Udagawa said
"Your family must be proud of you. Must be nice to have a supportive family..." Harumin said mumbling the last part
"How's your morning been?" Udagawa asked
"It's been alright" Harumin said
"You sure? It doesn't feel like it...nor doesn't look like it" Udagawa said
"...is it obvious?" Harumin asked and Udagawa replied with a nod
"Had trouble sleeping again?" Udagawa asked
"Haaah...I just don't know what to do anymore. I've tried everything. Not even sleeping pills help me rest. Drinking helps a little but I still can't get a good night's rest" Harumin said
"What about a doctor?" Udagawa asked
"The doctors can't find anything wrong with me. Some think I'm mentally ill or something like that. I've been given medication which makes me feel sick once I take it" Harumin said
"What was the problem again? Dreams?" Udagawa asked
"I keep having these weird dreams that I can't remember much of. Even though I can't remember them...I feel this...pain in my chest. A feeling of emptiness. As if I'm trying to look for something to fill it..." Harumin said
"Do you remember at least something from your dream?" Udagawa asked
"The only thing I can remember in it is a voice. Someone was singing...but I can't seem to remember anything else after that. Also I keep seeing...some weird fragments of something. They keep floating around me and following me around. I feel like it's gotten worse..." Harumin said
"This must be a serious issue. I've heard of random and crazy dreams that don't make sense but they somehow end up having a meaning" Udagawa said
"Meaning?" Harumin asked
"What if...you were that someone looking for something to fill the emptiness in your heart?" Udagawa asked
"Excuse me?" Harumin asked
"Have you ever thought that these dreams you're having could be memories from your past life? And that's why you're being affected by it?" Udagawa asked and Harumin only looked at him in confusion as she tried to process what he just said
"...did I hear that right?" Harumin asked
"Hey, it makes sense if you think about it like that. Besides there are people out there who believe in this type of stuff" Udagawa said
"That can't possibly be true" Harumin said
"I'm just saying. If there isn't any other explanation than what else could it be?" Udagawa asked
"You have a point" Harumin said
"Do you not believe it?" Udagawa asked
"I'm quite open minded. It'd be pretty interesting if it were true. Hopefully one day these dreams end and I can rest" Harumin said
"How long has it been?" Udagawa asked
"The first time it happened was-" Harumin paused as she heard her phone ring and checked it seeing her father

"I'm sorry, Udagawa but my father keeps calling. We can talk next time, okay?" Harumin said taking her drink
"Ah right. You have classes right after. I'll hurry up" Udagawa said as he was finishing up her drink. In a few minutes her order was ready and Harumin held her drink
"Thanks. I'll see you later. Take care" Harumin said
"Of course and if you need someone to talk to I'm always here" Udagawa said and Harumin smiled before stepping out of the cafe
Why does he keep calling?
"Hello?" Harumin answered
"Why didn't you answer my calls?" Her father said
"Sorry…I was busy" Harumin said
"Well whatever. Anyways I'm calling you to let you know that it's time you start joining Mitsuko and have an experience on what's it like to handle the company" Her father said
"...eh? B-but I'm still not prepared for anything like that" Harumin said
"It won't be anything difficult. I won't make you do any paperwork or anything like that until you finish your studies. I only want you to accompany Mitsuko and she'll guide you through a few things. This will help you understand and know what to do once I hand down the company to you two" Her father said
"...I understand" Harumin said
"And there will be an event coming up in two weeks" Her father said
"What?" Harumin asked
"This is an important event and you will be meeting with my business partners who you will be working with soon. Also I heard one of them have a handsome son who is looking for..." The voice from the phone started fading as Harumin's focus was on something that was floating in the air

A group of friends walked by Harumin and that's when she noticed the same pink crystal following a certain girl with short pink hair. Harumin's eyes widened as a person flashed through her mind

"She said let go" Her friend said as she came in and Harumin pulled away

"Let's go, Matsuri" Her friend said, taking her away. Matsuri walked away and glanced over at Harumin before seeing another woman in her head before looking away. Harumin watched her leave and noticed the pink crystal following her

Matsuri left feeling her heart throbbing which made it difficult for her to ignore. She walked with the group of friends heading to a nearby convenience store
"We're so close to graduating! What are your plans after high school?" Asher asked
"Going into college obviously" Furto said
"Have you decided already?" Sakira asked
"Of course. Are you two planning to go to the same college?" Furto asked
"Well...I hope so" Sakira said looking at Asher
"I promised that I'll give it my all. I've been studying really hard for you, Sakira. I'll definitely make it and be by your side" Asher said hugging her
"Aww I love you" Sakira said

"Okay lovebirds. Keep walking" Furto said
"When will you get someone, Furto?" Asher asked
"I would rather focus on my studies than be in a relationship" Furto said. Lina glanced over at Matsuri seeing that she was completely out of it

"What's up with you? Recently you've been staring into nothing or getting distracted easily. Have you been staying up playing games again?" Lina asked
"U-uhm no. It's nothing. Let's hurry up before class starts" Matsuri said
"By the way do you know her?" Asher asked
"Huh?" Matsuri asked
"That beautiful chick" Asher said and flinched as Sakira looked at him with a smile
"I-I only have eyes for you! I-I didn't mean it like that!" Asher said nervously
"She must've mistaken you for someone else" Lina said

The group of friends got to the convenience store and walked in. Matsuri rubbed her eyes feeling slightly tired since she also had trouble sleeping
"You seriously need to get some rest" Lina said
"I've been trying to get some rest" Matsuri said as she looked around to grab something. Her eyes widened as she remembered the older girl's face and trembled
Fuck...why am I remembering her? It's not like I know her but...why does it feel...like I do?
"Matsuri?" Lina asked and her eyes widened seeing tears rolling down the girl's eyes
"H-huh?" Matsuri asked as her vision blurred up. She shut her eyes and wiped her tears
"H-hey are you okay?" Lina asked as she tried to to hold her but Matsuri pushed her away
"I'm fine. Don't worry about it..." Matsuri said as she looked away
Shut up...
"Hm? Something happened?" Asher asked and Matsuri walked away
"I'm heading to the bathroom. You guys better grab your snacks quickly. We don't have much time" Matsuri said
"We still have a couple of minutes. We'll make it" Asher said
"Yeah but we shouldn't get distracted" Furto said
"Matsuri..." Lina said but Matsuri walked away heading to the bathroom
"Did you two fight?" Asher asked
"What? No" Lina said
"Is she sick?" Sakira asked
"I don't know what's wrong with her. Lately she hasn't been herself you know? I know something is up but she just won't tell me about it" Lina said
"Maybe it has something to do with that Taniguchi back there. She might be involved with her and we didn't know" Furto said
"Eh? Taniguchi? Ah shit now that I think about it. It was her. How did I not recognize her?" Asher asked
"Could she really be involved with someone like her?" Sakira asked worriedly
"Whatever it is. I'll find out about it myself..." Lina said. Meanwhile Matsuri was stuck in the bathroom and tried to calm down. Tears built up in her eyes and pressed her lips together
"Quit it" Matsuri said as she slammed her fist against the sink. She rubbed her eyes and watched the pink flower crystal floating by
"Tch...this is getting annoying" Matsuri said crushing the crystal into pieces
These hallucinations have gotten more realistic lately. It's starting to scare me. And these damn voices in my head are getting annoying. What...is wrong with me?
"My precious Ellie..."
Matsuri looked down before thinking of the older girl back then. She sighed deeply and looked to the side
"...why did I lie to her? Well what was I supposed to say? That I have weird dreams and you remind me of this one person I always dream about? But...she came to me first. Could she...have the same problems? Haaaa…why is it happening to me...? Fucking make it stop..." Matsuri said as she started to talk to herself. She looked over at the mirror seeing an image of another person for a moment before shaking her head
I never felt like that towards anyone before. If she really has something to do with this then I can't ignore it anymore. But...out of all the people it could've been. Why did it have to be someone from an elite family?
Knock Knock
"Is everything alright?" Lina asked and Matsuri sighed. She stepped out of the bathroom and walked away
"Matsuri, are you actually involved with that girl back there?" Lina asked and Matsuri kept walking as she ignored her question. Lina trembled and reached out to grab her arm
"What?" Matsuri asked looking at her
"I'm worried, okay?" Lina said and Matsuri grabbed her hand as she made her let go
"Mind doing me a favor and quit worrying about me. I'm fine. I really am. And to answer your question...yes. I might have some business with her. Now stop with the worries. It's none of your business" Matsuri said walking away
Now how the hell am I going to see her again? Or how should I approach her?
