"How long are we gonna wait, Jeremy?" Theo asked.
He has been talking to his family for the past hour to ensure everything is alright. The new king has been targeted in a savage attack and the country quickly turns around to search for the person who did it.
But there's still no update about these vicious happenings.
RG Jeremy shakes his head in dismay. "I'm afraid I still don't have an order coming from the palace that we're safe to leave this castle. As a little advice from me, you'll be safer here in the meantime."
"I know that," Theo said, letting out a deep sigh. "I know I'll be safe here, but I have now bigger responsibilities which to look after the country."
"Yes, Your Highness," Jeremy answered. "But it is your being we were trying to protect and guard against the violent acts from an unknown group or individual. We have people from the council who will look after the country while you're away."
"Does anyone know we're here?" he questioned.
"Aside from the Royal Family, no one else does," he replied.
Theo had gone quiet and sat back on the edge of his bed. They've been in this castle since morning and he only planned today is meeting the Prime Minister and a plan to study in a room by himself.
RG Jeremy notices how the king comes in silence.
"Do you need anything, sir? Anything I can help you with?"
Theo quickly looked at his royal guard and shook his head. "No. I don't need anything right now. Thanks for asking..." he said. "But you can stay here with me. I don't wanna be alone in this room."
Jeremy nodded as a sign of his response. He stood close to him while Theo shifted his attention to the window. The curtains covered them and he decided to open them, but his royal guard immediately caught his attention.
"I'm afraid, sir, that's not quite a good decision to make," he said. "We need to be careful. It is best to keep the curtains closed, sir. We're not sure if the people who attacked us have followed us or using any drones that might be searching for you."
"Oh... okay..." What Theo could only say and walk towards the old bookshelf in the corner of the room.
The shelf is filled with old titled books, Theo isn't really familiar with them, but he tried checking them out one by one to see if there's anything that might catch his attention. But it seems like none of them does as he puts everything back in its place.
"I like that book," Jeremy said out of nowhere.
Theo looked at him, creasing his forehead. "Uh? This one?" he wondered, pertaining to the book he was about to put back. "You like pride and prejudice?"
Jeremey chuckled. "Why do you sound so disgusted—oh... I'm sorry, I didn't mean..." he quickly bowed his head down as a response of respect and apology.
