Puppet Master
No one seems to get it
No one understands
They all just seem to hang
From old worn out strands
They look to me like puppets
Hanging from their strings
Always obeying orders
Afraid to use their wings
Scars are in their pasts
Afraid to look back
Following the rules
Away from attack
They try and look up
To see the one in control
So scared of the face
That could take away their soul
So they do as they're told
Never complaining at all
Their head never straying
For fear that they may fall
Then one brave soul
Says I can't take it anymore
You can't have me
I want to choose the other door
So she breaks off the chains
And prepares to look around
Ready to face the fear
And hoping that she'll be found
Her heart begins to race
As she looks at the sky
Seeing her reflection
She lays down to die
*Authors note*
Just in case the last line didn't make since I thought I would explain it. When she sees her reflection as she looks up she realizes she can never escape the pain and fear because she's inflicting it on herself. So she decides it would just be better to die.
