Ghosts Keep Me Awake

A/N: Does anyone else want more fics with bumbling caregivers? Also, extreme OOC warning!

Lighting and thunder cracked over the dark skies of Highland; inside the house of the usual town nuisances. The doors and windows creaked with wind; unfortunately, all that creaking translated into Beavis's dream as ghost haunting the room.

Beavis toss, turned, whimpered and shaked until he woke up in a crying fit.

"Is that Beavis, I should go check on him." Butthead thought as he push the covers aside and found his slippers.

"Hey Beavis; are you okay." Butthead asked.

"Dada!" Beavis wailed.

"Okay, that is new." Butthead pondered.

Butthead slowly approached the boy as to not scare him even more.

"B, can you tell me what happened?" Butthead inquired. No response; just cries. Butthead stepped towards Beavis and gave him a tight hug. After 10 minutes, Beavis finally calmed down.

"Feeling better?" Butthead questioned.

"Yea" Beavis replied in quiet, higher than usual voice.

"Did you have a nightmare or something?" Butthead reiterated.

"Mhm, scary ghosts wan'ed to eat me." Beavis explained.

"Those ghosts aren't real, they can't eat you." Butthead reassured. Butthead got no response again but, for a different reason.

"Well, I guess I'm staying here tonight." Butthead sighed as he pulled the blanket over himself and turned on the bedside lamp.

"Good night, Beavis."
