"Why are we at the boys gym?" Izumi asked.
"Oh that's because the school decided this year that there will be teams for girls so the girls gym is under construction" Mayumi explained.
"Okay..." Izumi muttered.
"Izumi! Mayumi!" Izumi and Mayumi heard a familiar voice behind them so they turned around to see the source of the voice.
"Hey!" Mayumi exclaimed even though there was no reason to exclaim, while Izumi had covered her ears because of Mayumi.
"Oh Ryummi, hello there" Izumi formally yet informally said.
"So let me guess you guys are here to sign up for the basketball team" Ryummi said.
"No" Izumi pointed at Mayumi "She is here to sign up and I am here to watch" Izumi emphasized the word she.
"Oh" Ryummi was a bit sad that Izumi wasn't joining but was happy because at least one of her new made friend was joining.
"Anyways we should go" Mayumi said as she went inside the gym. Izumi and Ryuumi followed after.
The three of them were astonished by what they saw. Wait I mean two not three.
"Awesome" Mayumi mumbled but was loud enough for the other two to hear.
"It is" Ryummi also mumbled with sparkles in her eyes.
Izumi just heaved a sigh.
"Ah, Miyazaki" They heard a deep voice and turned to the owner of the voice.
"Akashi" Izumi said.
The atmosphere around both of them suddenly got tense.
"I didn't know you played basketball" Akashi said with a bit of surprise present in his tone
"Hmm. I do-"
"Yeah she does, I am surprised you don't know about it!" Izumi was cut off by Mayumi.
"So I assume you will sign up for this" Akashi then coldly said.
"N-" Izumi was once again cut off by Mayumi.
"Yep she is!" Mayumi said
Izumi stared at Mayumi with bit parted lips.
"Hmm. I look forward to seeing you play" Akashi said and left.
"What in the world was that for?" Izumi asked while clutching her fist and gritted her teeth.
Mayumi pouted "I am sorry, but I thought you would want to play, oh come on please"
"Yeah please" Ryummi pleaded.
They pleaded for 3 whole minutes when Izumi gave an actual answer.
Izumi sighed "I guess I have no choice. And I don't want Akashi think there is something he is better at than me" Izumi mumbled the last sentence.
"Yay!" both Mayumi and Ryummi exclaimed and Izumi just sighed.
"Okay so we are going to began please make 4 different lines for each gender" the manger said.
"This will be fun"
"I heard that it is impossible to get in the 1st string"
"Oh then our target will be the 2nd string"
murmurs were heard through out the gym before they started.
~Major Time skip~
"Alright people who are in string 3 please make a line here" The manager said as he gestured to the right.
"So boys first, #1 Aoi Daichi, #2 Arata Fumio"
And the list went on till number 50.
"Okay now girls, make a line at the other end of where the string 3 boys are" The manager said. "#1 Akane Furita, #2 Azumi kame" And the girls list on till number 38 because there weren't enough girls.
"Okay now string 2. Boys"

"Now the girls"

"Now String one. Boys"
"What?"
"Some of them actually made it to string 1"
"They must be very extraordinary"
The murmurs again started.
"#1 Aomine Daiki, #2 Midorima Shintaru, #3 Murasakibara Atsushi, and #4 Akashi Seijoru" The manager looked surprised himself as he read out the list. The manager turned the paper and was even more shocked "Now the girls"
"Girls got to the first string as well"
"What in the world?"
"This is just shocking!"
Murmurs filled the gym yet once again.
"#1Ryummi #2Mayumi #3Keiko #4Shiori , and #5 Izumi Miyazaki"
Mayumi and Ryummi were jumping in excitement while Izumi was just standing there with a blank expression.
"Hey, I thought Sherry was going to join the basketball club" Keito whispered to Shiori.
"Yeah I thought too" Shiori said
"I hope she joins the club" Keito said and Shiori nodded.
