TW: Drinking (no under-age), Mention of rape and sexual assault
~~Onyx's POV~~
I stayed in my room for a while. A few hours, well probably more than a few, I heard a knock on my door.
"Onyx can I talk to you?" It was Leo, another one of the gladiators. There's quite a few of us, I don't know how many for sure, I've never bothered to count.
"The doors unlocked, come in" I responded.
Leo opened the door and walked in, locking it behind him. Leo was a tall male human, with reddish-brown hair and emerald green eyes filled with concern. He had a few freckles dusted across his pale skin. The red-head was the oldest of the gladiators- 25. He was also the heart of our group, the one who talked us through our problems and kept us from fighting.
He stood there for a second, not knowing where to sit down. I motioned for him to sit beside me on my bed. He sat down and faced me, sitting crisscross.
"So, what's up?" I asked, trying to seem like I hadn't been crying my eyes out 10 minutes before he got there.
"You, you've been crying and no one has seen you since this morning, when you went to The Master's office," he responded, his eyes regarding me with concern, "did something happen?"
"I'm fine, just tired,"I said, trying to smile, I felt my eyes well up.
He narrowed his eyes at me, knowing that I was lying. Oh shit, I forgot that he was a roki. Well he can turn into one. A roki was basically any animal with wings or an extra pair plus special marks on their face. They could do anything a normal animal could, even if they were human like Leo. Since he was a timber wolf roki, he could smell my fear and sense my stupid emotions.
"Onyx I know better than that, but if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here, alright?" He told me, his emerald green eyes still filled with concern.
I rubbed my eyes and nodded smiling, "thanks Leo but honestly, I'm fine." He nodded and stood up, giving me one more concerned look before opening my door.
Before he left, he turned around, "Hey we're celebrating if you want to join us?"
"What are we celebrating again?" I asked.
"Being alive," he chuckled, "and apparently you especially need to go because you're taking on a fight that could kill you tomorrow." He said the last few words with a grimace.
"Apparently they found someone to rival your strength."
I scoffed, "they say that all the time Leo, I'll be fine. Be out in a sec."
He frowned and nodded, giving me one last concerned look before leaving, closing the door behind him.
I sighed and got up. I walked over to my full body mirror. My skin was pale and my electric blue eyes were red and puffy from crying so much. My jet-black hair was a mess from tossing and turning. I sighed again and fixed myself up. I left my room closing my door behind me. Faint music was playing from up the hall. I grinned, Leo told them I was on my way.
Note: I'm not claiming this song at all, full credit to Panic! At The Disco. I recommend listening to the song while reading the next part.
It was Victorious by Panic! At The Disco. This is the song we always sing together as a group at parties (don't say a word).
