Phil wakes up with the most pain in his head ever. He hides his face into his pillow and let's out a harsh sigh, whimpers running out his lips as he massages his temples.
"Jesus," He mutters, blurry vision and a clogged mind making him have to squint. He smells of alcohol and sweat, feeling disgusting about himself. He remembers very minimal things about what happened last night, he didn't do anything with Dan and his father hasn't found out. Adrenaline finds its way back into his body as he recalls how risky last night by had been, the fear of getting caught, being with Dan alone made him have a rush.
"Phil get ready for church!" His father calls from downstairs. Phil groans before quickly jumping in the shower.
After he's cleared his mind a little he changes into his usual church clothes, smiling to himself at imagining what Dan would say about the way he's dressing. He brushes his hair and teeth, walking downstairs. "Finally, lets go." His father says, leading out to the car.
Phil sighs and gets in the usual passengers side, glancing down the street that he and Dan stumbled down last night. He smiles to himself, his father quirking an eyebrow at him. "What are you so happy about?"
"Am I not aloud to be happy? Or does the Bible say that's forbidden too?" Phil snaps, glaring at his father before looking out the window.
His father sits gob smacked, wanting to say something but stays silent and drives to the church.
The vicars son feels so much better, talking back at his father, for once he's standing up for himself. He's never
done that before. He's probably still a little tipsy and hungover, so the outgoing personality he had from last night is lingering.
Those Emma specials were tough.
Speaking of Emma, he wonders if any of them would remember him after last night? Would they acknowledge him in the street? Emma probably would since she's Dans friend but there were plenty of other teens who he had made good pals with, pals in which he never would've made if he had not went to that party. He hopes people will remember him and still like him for who he is.They pull up to the church, it's shadowed presence already making Phil squirm in his seat, he furrows his brow when seeing Dans car isn't there parked in it usual place. He's surprised that Dan can drive at all but it is what it is.
He's just late from last night. Yeah.
Ten minutes into the prayers and Dan still isn't there, something starts pinching at Phil's mind, he starts thinking the worse.
What if something happened when he walked back to his house last night?
What if he was hurt? This town isn't the worse place to live but crimes are still committed and it only takes one second for someone to jab a knife into a victims stomach.
Oh god.
The church door then opens, barely any heads turning to see who it is besides Phil's. He smiles when seeing Dan but then frowns at the sight of him.
Clear sex hair, hickeys along his neck and under his jaw, not big but Phil notices them. There's bags under his eyes, he's tired and has the same clothes on as he did yesterday.Doesn't take a genius to figure out what he got up to after he dropped Phil off.
Phil, his little baggage. That's probably all Dan sees him as, baggage and a little accessory that a millionaire walks around with; a puppy in a handbag.Phil's chest tightens and he shifts his eyes from Dans, who sits beside him per usual.
The black haired lad shuffles away, making Dan tilt his head in confusion. "Morning." He whispers and Phil ignores him.
"How's your hangover?" He chuckles. Again, Phil doesn't answer.
The vicars words echo through the church, yet the two boys don't listen, just glance to each other. A small smile etches on Dans lips and Phil can't help but smile back. He may be angry and disappointed with Dan but damn it he's human and if anyone as beautiful as Dan smiles at you then it's a law to smile back.
