Creatures Of Sonaria
The first thing I rembered was blur's of green. I slowly lifted my head trembling. As I looked around my eyes started to adjust. I saw someone was watching me. I tilted my head a bit unsure. The creature gave a soft chirp and nuzled me. In that moment I relized it was my mother.
She started to stand and I watched her closely. I folded my legs under myself and started to stand up wobbling, tho I quickly fell down with a quiet thud. My mother gave me a reassuring coo so I tried again. My legs trembled and I toppled but my mother gently caught me with her head. She waited untill I seemed stable and step back watching. I looked at her and took a shaky step closer lowering my head and started to nurse. My mother started to graze staying alert. We slowly settled down for the night, there was a few others around. For what I could tell there were seven others. I could sense a male, four females and two other Fawns. My mother gently started to grom my fur as I started to fall asleep.
The next day I started to explore my suroundings I bumped into a nother fawn who ducked behid there mother nervous. I tilted y head and took a step closer but quickly backed away when their mother stomped there foot in warning. I shook myself and headed back to my mother getting some more food. The day was nice and warm. The herd started to head toward a lake all alert as we approched to get a drink. I didn't see or sense anything so I laid down resting. I watched the herd graze and the fawns frolic in the water. I was to nervous to join them so I stayed put. I herd the male stomp it foot in warnign and everyone rasied there head alert. Then they started to run. I didn't understand why but I got up and followed before I knew it there was something chasing us. It was a Chryos, it snaped it jaws at my hind legs and I quickly picked up the pace. It was relentless not giving up so easily. I glanced back just for a second when I triped over a root and fell. The Chryos turned running toward me as I scuirred to my feet. It lunged sinking it teeth into my leg, I let out a yelp of pain and fell back down as it dragged me away from the herd. The herd slowed down glancing back my mother eyes widen and she botled toward us the male followed. The male slambed it horn toward the Chryos who jumped back growling. The male reared up kicking at the Chryos before it ran away. My mother nuzzled me with reasurrence as the male turned to us. He lowered his head toward me and I closed my eyes fearful. He gently licked the blood from my wound before setting some grass on it. I open my eyes slightly watching him leave. My mother laid down beside me grooming me to calm me down again. The herd was on edge for a while but slowly settled down for the night.
I'm not sure how long I was asleep for but I would say a few days at lest. I heard the herd panic I open my eyes and saw them started to run uphill. My mom nudged me, I could sense her fear, I got to my feet and ran following her. I tried my best but it was to late. The loud sound of water could be heard as the flash flood hit me draging me down stream, I faught the current but passed out. When I woke up I was on the shore the swamp lands. I was cold, exshused and scared. I laid there regaining my strength before getting up. I called out for the herd, for my mother but only silence answered me. I was alone. I slowly stazrted to travle learning quickly how many dangers lurked in the swamp. I kept beging chased down but soon I found a cave and settled down for the night.
I woke up to the sound of something very large moving. I quickly rasied my head seeing there was a creature in the cave with me. It was pink and white and about the largest thing I have ever seen. I stood up but my legs gave out and I collasped. The creature turned to me and moved closer. I eyed the sharp teeth with fear and closed my eyes waiting for the pain again. But I felt nothing. I open my eyes and the creature was curled up at the other side of the cave not seeming to be threatening. We just watched eachother for a while before the creature stood up and moved closer lowering it head and set down some plants. I looked at the plants then back tilting my head. The creature watched before gently picking up a plant and set it on my wound. I flicked my ear and slowly copyed her. I learned that she was a Kendyll depsied eating meat she prefered to scavenge then hunt. She helped me learn to survive. Years went on, we got seperated in a bad strom. I travled to a barren land finding an oasis full of other animals. I slowly laid down in a cave away from everyone. I could hear the water fall nearby. I was badly wounded from a fight with another Chryos. My wound hurt and I know I was dying. I could sense I was not alone in the cave. I could weakly smell my Firend before I felt her curl around me. "Everything will be ok". She said, I flicked my ear slightly letting her know I knew she was there. As I laid there dying, I wasn't afraid, after all I knew I wasn't alone. I thought about my life slightly before I whispered. "Goodbye" With my last breath. My firend stayed with me before digging a hole and set my body at peacie where no other predators would find it. She stayed around the oasis for a while before continuing on her journey knowing that she had a lot to live for. I knew that I would be there watching over her like she had for me all those years.
