Chapter 1 Once upon a time, I was walking through a forest with my short hair, soft and white as snow. I was walking around, wondering where I was, I Looked up into the air and saw Sparkles were everywhere. The sky was the prettiest shade of blue I had ever seen. It was the first time I had ever seen the sky, it was so beautiful. I continued looking around the forest until I spotted something with scales in the distance. I walked towards the mysterious figure, curious to see what it was. "Wow! What pretty scales!" I said, mesmerized. I wanted to know what this mysterious figure was so I went on my toes to try to get a better look to shape it out. I kept trying to figure out what the mysterious figure was but still I couldn't see it well. Then the white scaled figure moved. "Oh! Hello there, little one, what's your name?" Said the scaled figure. I moved back when the mysterious figure moved. When I finally got a good glance at the figure I was surprised at what it was, it was a dragion. Her white scales shimmered in the sunlight. I was surprised, even terrified of what she was. A dragon, a magical being that is in this world. "Y-your a..." I stuttered, scared for my life. My legs were shivering, I almost fell to the ground due to how much I was shaking. It was like my legs started to turn weak. I also didn't know dragons were real, I thought they were just myths! I mean at this moment a dragon standing right in front of me. A real one at that! "Are you okay, little one? You look frightened to see me." The dragon in front of me asked. I didn't know what to do at the time but something inside me told me to be brave and just listen to what the mysterious dragon had to say. "How about we get to know each other, would that make you feel a bit more comfortable?" The mysterious dragon offered, wanting to get to know me better. It also seemed like they were trying to calm me down since I was shaking so much. She may have assumed that if we do get to know each other so I nodded my head because I was too shocked to speak. "My name is Linzy, and I'm known as the Power Dragon! That means I'm the ruler of all dragons, and my job is to keep all of the Dragon Slayers' magic in control so there won't be any issues between dragons." The dragon said, introducing herself giving me a warm smile. I wondered why a dragon this powerful was in this area? Wouldn't dragons be in danger if they were here? "Well.. my name is Iris, just Iris. I'm a seven year old little girl that woke up in this forest and exploring it, looking for powerful magic to find so I can train. My dream is to become the most powerful wizard in the universe someday!" I said in a hopeful tone. I placed my hand onto my chest, I felt a bit embarrassed after finishing what I said. It probably seemed like I had a huge ego. "Oh, what a big dream you have, Iris. Maybe I can make that dream become a reality." Linzy told me, stretching out her shiny, white scaled wings. I didn't know what she meant by that but I continued to listen. "What do you mean by that? Are you gonna give me magic powers!?" I asked squealing. Looking back at it now, it was so exciting to me but I realize that I am forever stuck with this curse for the rest of my life. I hate it so much! Seeing my friends and the people I love die right in front of me is the most hurtful thing ever. "Okay! Anything! I'll do anything to be the most powerful wizard in the universe!" I said, excited, my soft, short, white hair flowing side to side as I moved my head. I wanted to be the most powerful wizard ever! It has been my dream since forever, so of course, I wouldn't let this chance run away from me! "Alright, I'll show you a magical artifact that I own, but don't get reckless with it, understood?" Linzy asked, still hesitant. She looked at me curiously, interested in what I was going to say to the offer. Her scales turned shiny when she looked at me. She had a very happy expression, I think it was because she wanted to show me the item. "Really? Okay! Show me! show me!" I said while jumping up and down in excitement, eager to know what the magical artifact was. Linzy brought out the mysterious magical hairclip and showed me, with a smile on her white scaled face. "This is a magical hair clip that can be used to travel through realms. Also known for being the most powerful object in the universe." Linzy said, In a happy tone, like she really wanted to get rid of the hair clip now that I realize it, but I never knew that back in the past. "Wow, It's so pretty!" I said, amazed at what the hair clips design looked like. The hair clips design was a sparkly heart with a clip behind it so it can attach on my hair. I loved what the hair clip looked like, it was so pretty that I actually felt like I was connected to the hair clip, something was pulling me into this connection for this hair clip. And also had the power to go through realms! Even more of a chance to become the most powerful wizard in the universe. "Would you like to become the realm traveler, having the responsibility of protecting this universe earning oracle gems by helping others to restore the crown of-." Linzy said, Getting interrupted by me. "Yes! I'll take the mission! I wanna be the most powerful wizard in the universe! I'll train with you!" I shouted, jumping up and down, my hair almost looking like it was flying in the wind, excited to train with the dragon lord of all dragons. I feel like such an idiot for accepting this, now I have this curse to live forever... I'll get to that later though. "Ok! Well we should start your first lesson then Iris! Maybe you should be called Iris Linzy, that suits you way more." Linzy said, Smiling at me, giving me her name as my last name. "Wait, what! Linzy, I can't take your name as my last name!" I shouted, jolting up in the air and landing on my bare feet onto the ground with a surprised expression. "Of course you can! It's a nice tone of your name and you will have a memory of me." Linzy said, saying in a convincing tone. "Ok, when you put it that way, sure! I'll take it! Now we should start our training, shall we Linzy!" I said, with a thanking and happy tone, hoping that Linzy was proud of me also.
