Chloe bit her lip carefully adding crème to the caramel eclairs. Every couple of minutes, when it got to monotonous, she'd stop and check her social media. Her phone vibrated as she got a text from her best friend, Miette.
M: I bet you're looking at TikTok....
C: Maybe I am....
M: I am utterly shocked. Are you working late tonight?
C: Nope. Finishing up the eclairs for the Taylor/Fisher party and heading to deliver to the venue and then I'll be home.
M: Well get here ASAP. I got all the flowers done and the wait staff is here so we are DONE!
Chloe put her phone back in her pocket and finished up the eclairs and had her assistant load the truck and they drove to the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. Chloe and Marguerite.(Miette) had been running a successful event planning company FLYING DREAM EVENTS for the past 5 years. Chloe and Miette had met at Temple University in Philadelphia and instantly became best friends. Chloe had been a chef before college and was looking for further education and Miette was a bit you get and had just gotten out of high school. When they graduated, they decided to move back to Louisiana where they both were from and start a business combining event planning and catering. It worked out perfectly as they were able to book weddings and other events and bundle everything together to save clients money.
Chloe pulled to the back entrance of the venue and started unloading the 10 trays of desserts. Miette came out looking highly stressed
"Finally! They are about to finish the ceremony and dessert is JUST not getting here?" Chloe rolled her eyes.
"I always make it in time!" After everything got put into the kitchen, Chloe gave the instructions to the head waiter as Miette waited reading her notebook checking to be sure everything was set before the wedding guests arrived. After everything was checked, Chloe and Miette went to the van and sat quietly for a minute catching their breaths. Chloe looked at Miette after starting the van. "Our biggest wedding is done!" Miette nodded and the girls high-fived and Chloe drove back to the shop. They had purchased a building with a cage on the bottom floor where they set up the pevent planning office and kitchen are for catering and turned the second floor into a loft where they lived.
Chloe parked the van in the back and the girls headed into the building. Since everything was done with todays wedding, they decided to head upstairs to relax. Miette plopped on the couch while Chloe went into the kitchen to fix popcorn. "Wanna start volume 2 of STRANGER THINGS?" Chloe came into the living room with a couple of bowls and handed one to Miette.
"Hell yeah. Our viewers await." Miette started the show as they pulled out their notepads to take notes. The girls not only had their event planning business, but they also had a podcast they made about different movies and series they streamed. They didn't have a huge subscriber count but they were doing fairly well with about 10000 followers. They gave reviews and had live chat meetups for their followers and usually post a podcast once a week, but with STRANGER THINGS being split to 2 parts this season, the girls wanted to full watch the entire season before discussions would begin.
When they finished the season, Chloe stood up and stretched. "Damn." Miette sniffled a little. "You ok, Miette?"
"Yeah, it's just, it was a lot of stuff. I'm super bummed about Max." Chloe nodded.
"I can't believe they killed off Eddie. I was really dinging him!"
"Oh my God, Me too! It was so sad!"
"And I love that they got Jamie Campbell Bower to play Vecna! His voice? CRAZY!" Miette grabbed her laptop.
"Wait. Let's get our notes together and the. We can do some filming while it's still fresh." Chloe nodded and went to get the green screen for the background set up. Once everything was set up, Miette went to get the mics for the podcast. Chloe sat in her chair watching Miette run around the loft. Chloe never ceased to be amazed by Miette. When they first met, Miette was very introverted and quiet and Chloe took her under her wing to try and open her up a little. Miette was still quiet, but was more open in the podcast and live chats. It was one of the things Chloe appreciated about Miette. They got along great, their temperaments were similar and, her favorite thing, they pretty much read each others mind. When one had an idea, the other one would have the same thought without fail.
They started recording the podcast discussing the fourth season of STRANGER THINGS. Miette always seemed to open up on the podcast and she great pretty animated discussing the end of the season. They talked about the theories for the next season, which would be the last, and went on to discuss the acting in the season. Once the hour of discussion was done, they announced their next live chat for tomorrow night and went ahead to make edits and post the podcast.
