Lucky quickly excused herself from the room she stood in with her cousins— that was blocked off by a curtain. She knew she had fucked up and needed to find Maia, Lucky's chest tightened thinking of how she treated the girl when she was only trying to help; a feeling she never felt often. But Lucky had involved Maia and her friends enough and figured she would just never use the number the girl had put in her phone. Lucky knew what her lifestyle brought to the table—which kept her to herself most of the time; something she didn't mind.

But all that changed when she bumped into Maia, and after swearing she wouldn't contact the girl, here she goes just popping up. Lucky thought it was fate, setting something off inside her. Lucky sprinted in attempt to catch up to the girl who had gotten very far despite her short legs—Lucky waited till Maia neared a closet that was labeled supplies on the outside. Lucky hoped it wasn't locked or her next actions would completely embarrass her.

Lucky grabbed the girls hand while turning the knob on the door, pulling them both in to a closet— that was pitch black making it hard to see one another.

"What the fuck !" Maia exclaimed hitting the girl who just ambushed her on her chest in attempt to push her away—But failed since Lucky still had a firm grip on her.

The light flicked on and Maia was now able to see her captor. Maia stared into the beautiful blue icy orbs— confused not saying a word, but it wasn't like she didn't have anything to say. Maia stood in shock at how quickly the girl was able to get to her.

"I know you probably have a million questions running through that pretty little head of yours" Lucky said breaking the silence— loosening the grip she had on Maia. She stood there, her body language completely different from the once ice cold stare she seem to wear like a uniform. She now stared at the girl her eyes growing softer as she gazed at Maia. Maia continued to watch Lucky quietly waiting for her next words.

"And I know I owe you an explanation" Lucky said, her gaze turning to the floor.

"You think ?"

Maia lifted her head to look at the girl who stood before her— a disappointed look on her face, Lucky felt a feeling she never had the opportunity of feeling too often. Her stomach tightened with guilt— understanding how it looked to not say a word after she nearly bled out in front of the girl.

"Let me take you out and make it up to you?" Lucky's eyes danced with excitement hoping Maia would accept her offer. " I'll give you whatever answers to any questions you have, promise" she finished noticing how the girl paused thinking about her answer.

The butterflies naturally began to swarm Maias stomach— she couldn't help the way how the girl who stood before her made her feel. Maia thought for a second as she considered saying no to the girls offer— but their eyes met again, Lucky's blue eyes pleading with Maias chocolate ones. She did have a few questions she felt like she wanted answered—Maia thought to herself intrigued with the events from last week, she watched the girl wait for her answer.

"I'm free Wednesday" Maia said plainly. Her words were like music to Lucky's ears— she played it over in her head smiling in response.

"Wednesday it is" Lucky continued to grin.

"Don't take that as we're cool... because we're not" Maia's arms crossed against her chest. Lucky's smiled dropped a little at the girls remark. She knew it would be a handful to win the girl back over but she loved the chase.

Lucky cleared her throat, "so I'll see you Wednesday" she crossed her arms to mimic Maia who continued to stand in front of her.

"See you then" Maia replied before she took one last look at the girl who stood in the closet with her—before her pager went off on her hip drawing her attention. Before she could say goodbye Maia slipped out the closet hoping she wouldn't get in to too much trouble from her absence just now.
