"Mira!". Beatrix's voice pulled the ice fairy out of her sleep, letting out a yawn as she stretched her arms the blonde didn't bother to reply verbally, already hearing the footsteps of her best friend getting closer to her room. "There you are! I've been looking all over for you." The air fairy confessed, narrowing her eyes at the girl's disheveled state. "What happened?". Sitting down on the edge of the bed the ice fairy moved slightly to sit beside her best friend, sighing before answering her question.

"Rosalind knows something about my origin. She mentioned some Ancestral Witch called Belladonna, she apparently had similar powers to me - except the obvious flaw she wasn't a fairy. Before I could get anything else from her, she revealed that Dowling had been researching me, trying to figure me out and what exactly I was." Elmira confessed, resting her head on her best friend's shoulder as the air fairy pulled her closer against her body in a loving embrace.

"Dowling was researching you. Why?". Beatrix questioned, having not realized the past headmistress' interest in her best friend, being too focused on bringing her down so Rosalind could take charge instead. "Rosalind told me it was because I was an ice fairy. Apparently, that's not as normal as I thought it was... hell I don't even know if there's anyone else like me out there."

Elmira's voice broke as she spoke, the realization of the information setting in as she confided in her best friend. Tears slipped down her cheeks as she did so, unable to stop the now steady stream from flowing. The ice fairy hated expressing her emotions, she knew she should still be annoyed at her best friend for hooking up without her there, but she had bigger things to deal with now and all she needed was the comfort of the person she loved the most.

The air fairy murmured soothing sounds towards her best friend, pulling her closer than she was previously as she held the ice fairy - allowing the blonde to sob into her chest. "We'll get to the bottom of this together Mira, if Rosalind won't tell us herself, we'll sneak into the Hall of Enchantments ourselves and figure it out together." At the mention of the highly secretive library the blonde girl found herself laughing slightly, shaking her head at her best friend's words. "As if you know where the Hall of Enchantments is Bea. That's one place you had yet to find last year."

"I wasn't properly motivated last year. Now? My best friend requires information on where she comes from, and I am determined to help her find out. I doubt Aster Dell is documented there given the slaughters that took place but some old witch that you could be descendant from. Where else would they hide that knowledge than a library none of us are meant to know about?". A mischievous smirk appeared on the air fairy's face, the thought of discovering one of Alfea's best kept secrets right underneath Rosalind's nose sent adrenaline through her veins.

Elmira found the tears had eased as she listened to her best friend plotting, a smile edging its way onto her face as she moved back slightly, wiping the tears from her cheeks before speaking. "A hidden library that is supposed to hold all of Solaria's secrets, why wouldn't Aster Dell be in there? We could find information on your biological family Bea." The air fairy glanced towards her best friend, her own eyes filling with tears at the thought of her lost family. "Looks like we're finding the Hall of Enchantments."

The words that left the air fairy's mouth had the blonde girl smiling, leaning in to hug her best friend once more the pair sat there for a moment, enjoying the presence of one another and simply letting their minds go temporarily blank as they did so. "I'm sorry for hooking up with Dane and Riven without you the other night. I know we shouldn't have, it's not in our agreements but I was jealous and angry and selfish. I'm sorry." Beatrix confessed, not wanting to look towards her best friend in fear of judgement being on her face.

"It's okay Bea, I forgive you. Can I just ask why you did it?". The ice fairy enquired, moving apart slightly and shuffling so she could cross her legs on the bed, grabbing ahold of her best friend's hands once more as she urged her to continue. "This whole Rosalind thing is just getting too me. I was assigned to get her out and I did just that... but... ever since then it just feels like she has no use for me. I'm not just some receptionist of hers who she can boss around and keep me out of things. I'm the reason she's even headmistress right now."

Beatrix took a deep breath as she found herself getting worked up, smiling as Elmira squeezed her hands comfortingly before she spoke again. "It's incredible you unlocked your transformation ability, truly I am so happy for you. But seeing Rosalind so infatuated with what you have to say, seeing her froth over your feet just like she does Bloom's? It hurts. Hell, she even brought in Tahmina in an effort to isolate you and even if it isn't on purpose it's working. You're constantly training now, whether it's personally with Rosalind around your powers or it's specialist training with Tahmina. We barely see you anymore, I miss my best friend Mira..."

"It's only been a few weeks, Bea. I'll talk with Rosalind, and I'll sort out a schedule, hell if she doesn't like it then I'll just start ghosting Tahmina - it wouldn't be the first time. You're what's most important to me, you and Riven and hell, even Dane. You're the family I chose, and I want to spend more time with you. I'm supposed to have training again this afternoon but frankly, I can't be fucked. Let's go see the boys hey? I could use a smoke right now."

At the ice fairy's words Beatrix threw her arms around her best friend, embracing her for the millionth time in their conversation, the blonde laughed slightly as she reciprocated before moving and walking towards her mirror. "Okay, first I need to sort out this mess of a look. Then we go find the boys?". The air fairy smiled at the blonde's comment, nodding slightly at the mess of a look Elmira was sporting in that moment. "As much as I love you Mira you really need to fix that. I'll grab some weed for us to smoke in the meantime."

Hopping up Beatrix playfully hit her best friend on the ass making her fake gasp before she skipped out of the room in search for their stash. The previous tension between the pair had seemingly disappeared as the blonde got to reworking her hair and makeup. Choosing to stay in the same outfit she had worn earlier that day she simply brushed out her hair, pinned a section back out of her face and fixed her makeup to hide any smudges or tearstains.

"I found the stash! You are looking hot as always." Beatrix complimented, holding up the small silver box as she reentered the room, lighting up one of their pre-rolled blunts as she sat on the window seat, not wanting the smell lingering in the ice fairy's room. "I had an interesting chat with Stella today. Saw her trying to escape the barrier with her new accessory."

"The princess trying to escape her kingdom? What kind of deranged storybook is that from?" Elmira responded, smiling as the paper hit her lips and the smoke filled her lungs. "I asked her whether or not Sky had anything to do with Silva's escape." The air fairy confessed, a smile on her face as she had a hit of her own. "Let me guess, he's innocent and she gave him an alibi?".

Beatrix nodded her head at the blonde's suggestion, a laugh escaping her best friend's lips in the process. "Typical Stella. Always protecting her ex-boyfriend. When is she going to move on? It's getting pathetic." The ice fairy spoke, shaking her head at the mere thought of being so caught up on someone who had clearly moved on. "I don't know what to do Mira. I need to find the person who helped Silva escape. My father is suffering because of it."

"We'll figure it out Bea. I promise you, we're in this together. For now though, let's finish this smoke and go meet up with the boys, it'll take our mind off of the chaos." Handing the last bit of the blunt over too her best friend Elmira jumped back up from the bed and pulled the air fairy with her. "The boys await." Beatrix smirked; the ice fairy flicked her wrist to ensure the blunt was fully out before leaving the room hand-in-hand with her best friend.
