Max looked over her shoulder at Steve's car as she walked into Ms. Kelley's house, the three teens inside the vehicle watching her every step closely until the counselor closed the front door.

"Okay. She's in." Steve said.

"I'm missing collarbones, not eyes." Dustin leaned in between the two front seats, his elbows on the back of each one.

"Good one, Dusty." Ruby giggled as Steve rolled his eyes.

"I hope you guys don't mind, but I'm gonna put my headphones on and totally ignore you right about now." She said as she pressed play to the mixtape on her walkman and turned the volume all the way up, leaning her head against the window and closing her eyes.

She was exhausted, not being able to sleep at night anymore because of all the stress and nightmares.

Also, after what Eddie and her did earlier, saying she was tired would be an understatement. But now the adrenaline has worn off and she just wanted a moment to herself.

The two boys could hear "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by Scorpions very clearly coming from her headphones.

"There's no way this is healthy. She's gonna ruin her eardrums listening to rock music this loud." Steve mentioned, a bit worried, knowing this was one of Billy's favorite songs. Which meant she was listening to one of his mixtapes. Which meant she wasn't feeling her best.

"So, we gonna talk about...it?" Dustin asked, turning his head slightly at the brunette girl's direction to make sure she didn't hear them talking. She didn't.

Steve was still staring at the front door to Ms. Kelley's house this whole time, but when Dustin started talking he tore his gaze away.

"Huh? Sorry, talk about what?"

"Your temporary insanity earlier today when you basically had a stroke after seeing Ruby half naked." Dustin explained with a mocking tone.

"Okay. First of all, that's not what happened. Okay?" The Harrington boy denied.

"Pretty sure that's what happened. It was pretty public. There were like, a lot of witnesses." Dustin continued with the mocking, every now and then stealing a look at Ruby, who was still with her eyes closed and moving her leg up and down to the beat.

"Are you implying I have a thing for Rubes?" Steve sounded as if he was offended.

"No. I'm not implying. I'm stating. And, as it relates to your steadfast refusal to date Robin it's pretty much the only logical explanation."

"That's not the only one." And Steve knew exactly what the other logical explanation was, but couldn't say it.

Of course, Dustin didn't know about Robin's sexuality. But what he did know was that Steve's desire to date Robin ended the second he laid eyes on her younger sister. After all, he was present to their first meeting.
