Appearances Can Be Deceiving

"turns out Overdrenaline has increased her strength, sight, and thinking capacity" said doctor Bennard to the sound recording device, she was in her lab sitting on her moving looking at her computer, the computer showed everything she had discovered after two weeks of injecting Forty eight with Overdrenaline serum, "project Alcatrez is nearly complete, this is meant to be the evolution of mankind as we know it",  she added then hit a button on her computer and the computer went dark, she turned off her recording device and put it on the table, she got off her chair to leave the lab, she gave a look at the Overdrenaline serum that was on her table before she left the lab and then closed the door behind her,she took out her phone and called James' number, the phone rang for a little while but he eventually picked up, "hey what's up" said Jake soon as he answered the phone,
"Hey are you free tomorrow" she asked as she opened the fridge and took out a beverage
"Am always free, why" he replied back
"I want you take the kids outside for some fun, they haven't seen daylight in days" she replied, then started heading towards the living room,
"Can I have them for two days at least, it will be good getting them off your hands" he replied "plus I want to see this Forty eight up close" he added, doctor Bennard chuckled a little and took a seat in the couch at the living room
"be careful with what you wish for James" she replied as she opened the beverage and then took a sip,
"Oh come on, please" he replied with a breaking voice like he was about cry,
"Fine just bring them back in one piece" she replied
"When have I ever let you down" said Jake
"I have a list" she replied with a smile on her face,
"Seriously, your still mad about your gold fish" asked James
"Wait, you're the one who killed Goldie" she asked with a shock on her face
"I've said too much" he replied and then hung up the phone,
"Hello, hello" she said trying to reach James who already hung up the phone, "did he just hung up on me" she added, she then threw the phone on the table, she took another giant sip of her beverage and then grabbed a remote and turned the on the Tv, there was news going on the Tv, they were talking about fundraiser that would collect money for creating a new company like the fallen Raven Labs, Mr. Carmen was in front  of the camera addressing the media, "this town has lost something beautiful, something precious, the Raven Labs helped to create a better life for us we can't just let it go, you know if you have the power to stop bad things from happening and you just watch, they happen because of you, so I'll be running a fundraiser to create a new Raven Labs, a better version of it" said Mr. Carmen and then left the podium where he was addressing the media, something that  Mr. Carmen said got doctor Bennard thinking about what she had just created, what if it falls on the wrong hands, what if the Question mark eventually gets a hold of the serum, what happens then, she had so many questions running through her mind, in the end she decided she should reverse engineer the serum and create something that will counteract its effects.
"What makes you say that" asked Mr. Carmen looking at Henry's face, they were still arguing on why there's a lot of police in his building,
"For now it's just better to trust me" Henry replied,
"That didn't go well with Mr. Dion" replied Mr. Carmen so angry, Henry looked shocked to hear that, his face turned red covered with fear,
"Sir I'll let you sort this out, am going to the office" said the lady secretary behind Mr. Carmen,
"Sure" he replied, and the secretary headed inside the building, when she entered she saw the bank was filled with a lot of cops in uniform with heavy fire arms like they were ready to fight a war, she confidently walked to the elevator and went to the top floor of the building, once she got off the elevator she headed directly for Mr. Carmen's office, once she got in she locked the door behind her and then took a small device from her handbag she pressed the device and all the cameras inside the office went off, she then reached for the zipper on the skirt that she was wearing, the zipper was in front of her left thy and it ran from top of the skirt to the bottom, she pulled down the zipper and the skirt fell down, inside she was wearing tight black pants that she had folded them to her knees so they weren't seen over the skirt, she simply unfolded them down to her feet, she then reached inside her handbag again and pulled out fine black sneakers, she quickly took off the heels she was wearing and put the sneakers on, she then went ahead and started unbuttoning the coat she was wearing and took it off, she also took off the shirt she was wearing inside the coat, she remained with a light white blouse she was wearing beneath the shirt she just took off, she took out a small face mask that could cover her nose and mouth, a black cap, and a black Marshmello helmet out of her handbag, she then started tearing apart the black leather handbag, it was like she was destroying it but the handbag was a black leather jacket turned into a handbag, so she was just reversing the process, after she was done she then put on the leather jacket, she then started peeling off the fake face she was wearing, after she was done she put on the mask that was on the table, she then pulled back her hair and tied it up, and then she put on the black cap on her head that covered her eyes on the face point of view, she took out a lighter from the pocket of her pants then she collected all the clothes she just took off including the fake face she just peeled off from the floor and threw them in the dustbin, she the turned on the lighter and threw it in the dustbin and all the stuff started burning, she was all set so she grabbed the small black Marshmello helmet from the table and left the office.
she walked on a small corridor surrounded by rooms on both sides, she saw a man and woman coming towards her direction while talking to each other so she had to hide, she quickly opened the door to her left and entered inside the room, luckily the room she just entered was empty and no one was inside, she waited by the door listening as they passed through, after they had walked a distance from the room she was in, she got out and headed for the men's bathroom, she then went straight to last toilet and opened the door, inside the toilet she saw the large back pack that the man from yesterday carried, the bag had a fire hose on the right side, she took the bag, put it on and left the bathroom, she was moving like someone who knows exactly the whole building from inside out, cause after she left the bathroom she went room where bank vault was located, the room was guarded by two guards on both sides of the door, "sorry your not allowed to be here" said one of the guards soon as he saw her coming, hearing those words didn't make her heed but instead she kept walking forward, the guard on the left moved at the middle blocking her way by putting his hand on her chest, " I said your not allowed to be here" he added, she slowly raised her head to look him in the eye, she then quickly grabbed his arm using her left hand and broke his wrist, the guard screamed in anguish feeling the pain, she then quickly punched him in the throat to shut him up and the guard fell down unconscious, the other guard  came from behind and held a gun behind her head, "don't move" he said, while the gun touching the back of her head, she stood still for a second and then raised her arms in the air, just when he thought he had caught her she quickly turned around and punched the gun out of the guards hands, she then punched him on the face till  he also fell down on the floor unconscious, she opened the door and entered the room, she met a big electronic vault that could be opened using a retinal scanner and voice of the one that put in the password, she took out a small device from her pocket and pressed the button on the device and all the security measures on the vault turned off, the device was an electromagnetic pulse that had effect on a small range, she then reached for the door handle on the vault and pulled it towards her to open the vault, when she opened the vault she saw lot and lots of money arranged on pallets through out the room, the money were stacked on top of each other till they reached a height of her chest, she took out  the fire hose from the her backpack that was still on her back, she pressed a button on the hose and the hose started sucking air with in the room and the money was being sucked along with it, she was sucking money from the vault to her backpack using the fire hose.
The things that the woman left burning at Mr. Carmen's office started giving out a smoke, a smoke too strong to trigger the fire alarm, Mr. Carmen and Henry were still arguing with each other when the alarm went off, "sir we have fire alert at the top of the building" a voice was head from Henry's walkie talkie,
"I want you to find the source of fire and contain it" he replied on his walkie talkie, "I also want people out of that floor ASAP" he added,
"What's at the top floor" asked Henry looking at Mr. Carmen,
"My office, why" he replied,
"The secretary" exclaimed Henry, then he quickly ran inside the building, Mr. Carmen and couple of cops followed behind him, they got into an elevator till the top floor which was now being emptied due to the fire alarm, they went to Mr. Carmen's office and found some police already inside trying to turn off the alarm, they only found things burning in the dustbin but the secretary was no where to be found, Henry looked around the office and then he quickly turned to Mr. Carmen
"What else is here, right in this floor" he asked
"Nothing" he replied
"No, you are not telling me everything, your office looks completely untouched, everything is basically they way it was" said Henry while furiously looking at Carmen
"There's a vault, where the money from the bank is stored" said Mr. Carmen,
"Where is it" asked Henry, they quickly left the office and headed to the vault with Mr. Carmen leading the way, at the door they found the guards lying on the floor with their guns next to them, the other cops went ahead and checked them for a pulse, "they are still alive sir" said the cop, Henry took out his gun and started walking slowly and cautiously towards the door of the room the rest of police where following behind him together with Mr. Carmen, when he opened the door he suddenly lowered his gun in disappointment after seeing what he saw, he saw the door to the vault was opened and the rest of the money was on fire, and at the entrance of the vault there was a black Marshmello helmet that was left by the woman, Mr. Carmen was speechless and surprised looking at the opened vault with all the people's money on fire, "you believe me now" he said looking at Mr. Carmen, Mr.Carmen was too confused to answered he just stood there his whole body had gone numb, not a single word was coming out of his mouth, Henry turned around to look the police officers that weren't in uniform, "lock down the whole building, am sure she hasn't left yet, let's make sure it stays that way" said Henry, he then turned to Mr. Carmen who was too confused to even know his name and tapped him on his shoulder while calling out his name "Mr.carmen" he called out twice. The woman was using the stairs to leave the floor with her bag full of cash, and for once Henry was right the woman hadn't yet left the building, the building had sixty floors from top to bottom, the woman was on the stairs two floors down from the top floor that Henry was, when she was still going down the stairs she met two police men climbing up the stairs doing Inspection, "she's on the stairs" said one of the police men while pressing a finger on his earpiece once he saw the woman, the woman turned around and started climbing back to the fifty eighth floor where she came from, she opened the door that lead out of the stairs back inside the floor, once she entered the floor she kept walking confidently with her head down trying to fit in with rest of the people on that floor, when she looked in front she saw two people who looked like police except they were dressed in normal clothes, they were carefully looking at the people inside that floor trying to find where she was, one of the police gazed around the floor till he had eye contact with the woman, "she's here, floor number fifty eight" he said to his earpiece while pointing a finger at her ,"big bag, black leather jacket, and black pants, she also wearing a black cap" he added as they started running towards her, she quickly started running around the floor mixing herself around people to get away from the police, in her run she saw an elevator that was slowly closing, she quickly ran towards it and then slid to increase her chances of entering the elevator before it closed, soon as she entered the elevator door closed behind her and the police couldn't get to her, they looked at what floor the elevator was going to and saw it was going to floor number thirty two, "she's in the elevator, it's going to floor number thirty two" said one of the police to his earpiece,
"We are on it" replied another officer who was in that floor, he then showed with his two fingers indicating the rest of the police should follow him, they all gathered in front of the elevator with their guns pointing towards it waiting for it to open, when the elevator opened there were two people inside and none of them fit the description of the woman, the people got of the elevator running and scared, one of the police outside the elevator door went inside the elevator to see Incase she was still hiding inside, when he got inside he looked around and it was empty, but just when he was about to leave the elevator he held his head up and saw the roof of the elevator was opened, "she is in the elevator shafts" said the police through his earpiece, Henry was in a different elevator heading to same floor when he heard about where the woman was, "are you saying you lost sir" asked Henry
"Am afraid so sir" replied the man as he was still looking at the part of the roof of the elevator  that was opened by the woman, "she opened the roof and escaped to the elevator shafts" he added
"She can't have gone far, I want men in front  of every elevator and stairs, let's make sure she doesn't leave the building", Henry replied.
The woman in the elevator shafts jumped into a different elevator and got inside by opening it's roof, when she landed inside she saw the elevator was heading up to floor number forty three, when it reached the floor it's doors opened and just outside there were two police officer waiting to get inside, when they looked inside they saw the woman but before even they could react she pulled them inside the elevator and pressed the button for it to go down, inside the elevator she beat them up till they lost consciousness and took one of their ear pieces to listen in on their conversations, there was man in a grey suit waiting for the elevator to open, the man looked down on his watch and the door to the elevator opened as he was still looking at his watch to see what was the time, once the doors to the elevator opened the woman got out of the elevator and the man entered the elevator, he was still looking at his watch so he really didn't have a good look at the woman, once he got inside the elevator he saw two police officers wearing pullet proof vests lying down on the elevator floor unconscious, "help" yelled the man while looking outside the elevator, people started gathering around the elevator to see what was wrong, meanwhile the woman was fleeing the scene confidently and she walked her way to the stairways once more, once she opened the door to the stairways on her left there was a number thirty eight drawn on the wall, she realized she was in floor thirty eight, she was standing at the landing of the stairs when she heard a lot of footsteps coming from both down and up the stairs, she peeked over the handrail looking down the stairs, she saw a lot of police coming up the stairs, she looked up and saw other police coming down the stairs, they were going to meet her in the middle, she kept going down the stairs till she reached floor thirty four and opened the door getting out of the stairway before she met the police who were going up the stairs, just outside the door she met other three officers entering the stairways to join the search in the stairways, she quickly punched the one on the right in the face till he fell down to the ground, she then pulled the one in the middle and threw him in the stairs, when she turned around the last cop was already holding a gun on her face, using her both hands she took the gun from the police by hitting his wrist that was holding the gun using her right hand, and and grabbing the gun by its mouth using her left hand, she then quickly hit him on the neck using the gun and he fell down unconscious, the other police that were on that floor saw her started running towards her and catch her, she saw them coming so she aimed the gun at  the roof and started shooting at the sprinklers, the sprinklers started spilling water allover the floor, most people in that floor started running while screaming because of the gunshots that were fired, it was a perfect diversion for her to escape to the elevator without being caught, by the time the police got to the elevator it was already closing with her inside, the police looked what floor she was going and then ran to stairs, "she's in the elevator, going to the fortieth floor" said the police heading to the stairways, he was accompanied by a lot of other cops behind him, many cops were already gathered in front  of the elevators of the fortieth floor with their guns waiting for the elevator to arrive, inside the elevator the woman was not alone, she was accompanied by a lot of people who escaping the chaos of the sprinklers in floor number thirty four, so when the doors to the elevator opened they were a lot of cops holding their guns, this made the people panic even more, they ran out of the elevator randomly providing a perfect cover for her to get out of the elevator without being spotted, as they were still surprised by not seeing her in the elevator one of the cops turned around and saw her running towards the left away from the elevator, "there she is" he screamed pointing his finger at her, realizing she had been spotted she started running away from the cops, but whatever direction she tried to run to there were police holding guns, she couldn't go anywhere cause she was completely surrounded, she ran over to the window, "stop" yelled one of the cop behind her pointing his gun towards her, she suddenly stopped and just stood without moving even a muscle, a lot of other cops started joining that area holding her at gun point, it took a few seconds for Henry and other dozen of police to show up, they paved a way for him to pass through so as to get close to her, till this moment the woman hadn't turned around she was still facing the window, "put your hands in the air and turn around slowly" said Henry with his gun in his right hand, she reached inside her pocked and took out sunglasses and she put them on, she then slowly turned around with her hands in the air,
"Slowly take off your glasses, mask and your cap" said Henry, and then he slowly raised his gun pointing it towards her,
She looked at the cops that gathered in front of her, they were so many and all of them pointing guns towards her, there was no way she was getting out of there alive, all the time that she had her hands in the air she never did opened her fists,
"don't make me repeat my self" added Henry, his face so furious and anxious, he badly wanted to know who was behind that mask, the woman had two decisions now, she could either jump out of the building and die, or get caught and go to jail, the woman immediately opened her fist and a small flash grenade fell out of her right hand landing on the ground, the flash grenade released  a massive amount of light that blinded all the cops, she then threw away the glasses and quickly ran towards the window and jumped breaking the glass of the window, the woman chose death over going to prison,  she was now in mid air falling hard to ground with the bag full of cash still on her back, there was a quite a distance between the floor she just jumped from and the ground, there was no way she could survive the fall, she was falling with her head facing the ground, quickly she turned  herself around while still in mid air and faced the window of the floor she just jumped from, she pulled out a gun from her waist and fired a shot, a grappling  rope came out of the gun and attached itself on the wall of the building she jumped from, the rope was long enough to make her land safely to the ground.
The effect of flash grenade took at least  a minute for it to wear off, by that moment the woman had already landed on the ground safely, Henry  went over to the broken window and looked at the ground to see if the woman survived the fall, he was so shocked to see the woman on the ground heading towards the motorcycle that was parked next to Mr. Carmen's car, she drove the motorcycle leaving the parking lot, but before entering the road she stopped and  looked back at Henry who was standing In front of the broken window she fell from, Henry pulled out his gun and aimed it at her, unfortunately the effect of the flash grenade hadn't worn off so his vision was a little bit blurry, he was able to fire a shot and the bullet went and bruise the woman on her left shoulder as she was leaving, she was a tough woman so a single bullet was not enough to stop her.
Few moments later Claire showed up with more police at the building to try and gather evidence and even help the injured, "where is Henry" she asked one of the cop at the entrance,
"Top floor" he replied pointing his finger upwards, she quickly ran inside the building and straight into the elevator, when she reached at the top floor she saw him giving a statement of what  happened in that building, he was wrapping up his statement so by the time she got there he was done, and the one who was taking his statement left them to talk, she looked him the eye for a moment without saying a word and then gave him a tight hug,
"you look terrible" she said while hugging him,
"I think the woman downstairs will totally disagree with you" he replied with his voice breaking up,
"Just promise me you won't do stupid stuff alone again" she replied and then pulled away from the hug,
"Pinky swear" he replied with a smile on his face,
"So what now" asked Claire,
"I guess we are back to square one, again" he replied and then started walking towards the elevator, Claire was right next to him all the time,
"Get all the camera footage from the control room, there's has to be one that caught something good" said Henry looking at Claire on his left,
"We also need to double the security on Mr. Carmen" he added as he kept walking,
"She didn't leave a Marshmello" asked Claire, suddenly Henry stopped walking soon after he heard the question,
"Oh she did, it's in my car" he replied, he then turned and the looked at Mr. Carmen who was also giving his statement, "he has three days" he added while looking at him, when they got in the elevator a memory of him shooting the woman flashed in his eyes, "I shot her" said Henry with a surprise on his face,
"What" asked Claire, shocked by what Henry said,
"I shot her, when she was about to leave i shot her on her left arm" he replied,
"She is going to need treatment", Claire replied back,
"Call Lucy, tell her to make sure that we have people in every hospital looking for her" said Henry while pointing his finger towards her, they got out of the elevator and out of the building they went, they both got in their cars and started checking through every hospital in town, hoping they might catch her, they searched all day long till it got dark, both of them were unlucky of finding her, Lucy on the other hand was very busy calling every hospital in town and giving them a description they had of the woman, but she was also not lucky to find her. The woman drove her motorcycle and made a stop at a dark alley somewhere in the city, she slowly got off her motorcycle and took off the back pack full of cash, she went over to a trash can that was close by and put it inside, she walked out of the alley and ended up at the side of the road, she was walking so slowly due to her loss of blood, her right was on her left shoulder covering the wound on her left shoulder, she was trying to put pressure on it to prevent further loss of blood, she raised her head to see what was on the  other side of the road, she looked and saw a big  hospital she was wearing still her mask and the cap on so it wasn't easy to recognize her, she crossed the road to the other side and headed for the hospital, she kept loosing balance everytime she walked cause she was loosing energy and in a lot of pain, she held it in so as she couldn't get noticed easily, once she got in she found no one at the front desk and there was white coat on the table, she took it and put it on, she walked around the hospital till she found the surgery room, she opened the door and found six doctors operating on a patient with a brain tumor, she looked on her left there was a screen showing the patient's vitals and a scan of his brain, she looked at his brain scan for a few seconds and then turned around with a gun on her arm and shot the patient, "he was dead either way" she said after shooting the patient, the other doctors ran away from the room and the lead doctor remained inside, "he wasn't going to survive the surgery" she added,  she went over and pushed down the dead body of the dead patient from the bed, she took off the white coat and her leather jacket, the cap and her white blouse that she was wearing, she only remained with a bra that was covering her boobs and a mask that was covering her face, "fix me" she said to the doctor while pointing a gun at her, her voice was a bit muffled because of the mask and her face was so pale since she had lost a lot of blood, her eyes were so dull and she was blinking everytime like she was about to loose consciousness. At the meantime Henry and Claire were still on the search for the woman, and they had searched every hospital but one, the hospital that the woman was in, that was the only hospital that they  hadn't searched, they met each other at the front of the hospital and went inside together, they found a nurse sitting at the front desk, the nurse had just entered her night shift a few minutes ago, "hey am sorry am looking for a woman" said Henry, then he slammed his bag on the front desk, the woman was leaning on her chair doing her nails, but the badge caught her attention,
"What's going on" she replied with a shock on her face,
"Has a woman been her, admitted for a gun shot wound" said Claire
"Yeah, about yay high" interrupted Henry describing the height of the woman with his hand,
"Dark hair, with a black cap and a mask covering her mouth" Claire added,
"No, I haven't seen her, I just got in a few minutes ago" she replied, her voice shaking cause she was afraid that she was in some kind of trouble,
"Can we check around your hospital to see if we can find her" asked Henry
"Sure" replied the nurse,
They walked away from the front desk and started looking around the hospital hoping to find the woman, it was a big hospital so they had to divide their search, Henry ended up searching the patients on the intensive care unit, he was opening every door and looking at whoever was inside, he searched till he reached the door to the surgery room, he opened the door and went inside with his gun pointing straight ahead ready to shoot, he saw a doctor performing an operation on a patient, the patient was behind the blinds so he couldn't see who it was, the doctor turned around and faced Henry and started chasing him away while showing it with his hands, he had no other choice but to leave the doctor to her operation, he kept searching other rooms in the hospital with no luck of finding her, he met Claire back with  where they started the search, they both didn't find her, Henry put his hands on his waist and sighed, he was too tired of chasing dead ends, He sat down at one of the waiting benches to catch his breath, that's when it hit him that in the operation room he saw something weird on the floor, his memory was a little bit vague but he remembered seeing some clothes on floor and a dead body, he quickly ran back to the theater with Claire following right behind him calling out his name, when they got in they found the doctor lying on the floor unconscious and the clothes were gone, he went over and opened the blinds at the bed but there was no one bed, he also saw a dead body next to the bed, he realized that she was here all along so they turned around and ran back to the entrance, when got out of the hospital they saw the woman on her motorcycle was already leaving the hospital, Henry quickly ran to his car so as he could chase her, but before he could open the door he saw that his car had a flat tire, "she got mine too" said Claire as he got close to Henry at his car,
"So who should we call first the police or a tow truck" asked Henry.
The woman drove the motorcycle back to her house, and slowly walked to the front door while breathing heavily, she was hanging to a little bit of energy that she still had, to walk into her house, she opened the door and inside was Mr. Bhode Daret alive and well in the living room sitting on the couch watching TV, "I just saw the news you were great" he said, he didn't even bother looking at the door to see who it was, the woman got inside the houses and locked the door behind her,
"What's wrong" asked Mr. Daret while looking at the woman, who was already at the kitchen table facing away from Mr. Daret, she took off her cap and mask all together and put them on the table,
"I got shot" she replied and turned around and for some reason she had a Mary Allen's face
