Key To Lost Memories -Chapter 6- Banquet Hall
—————
He had a strange dream…

He felt a stinging sensation against his arms. He hears the man repeat his question again…

He does not answer. He looks at the man with a sense of wonder. He smiles even when he feels his cheeks hurt. The man looks at him warily. The smell of metal filling up his nostrils…

He doesn’t like it…

The man calls out his name. He does not reply. He grinned as the wary man started writing on the piece of paper. The sound of the pen clicking filling up the room. White noise could be heard inside the white room, and they sat there in silence. His legs moving back in forth, kicking the chair he sat on. He can feel red liquid dripping down from his arms. He looks at the man’s wary eyes in a dazed manner.

He raised his head.
He opened his mouth with a big smile on his face…

Another strange dream... Kairyo gently patted his cheek.

“…Was I having a nightmare?” He murmured, petting the black fur as Kairyo looked at him.

Since he still had enough time, he decided to read the blue book.

‘…!’ The language, it wasn’t like in his dream. It was now his first language, the language he’s speaking on a daily basis. It was probably just a coincidence. He probably bought this book somewhere when he was too sleep deprived to remember. Some of the end pages are empty. It was thick, hardcover fantasy like book.

“…” He sighed and closed the book, he decided to write a small “l” on the back of the page lightly with a pencil, so he could erase it if he wants to. He decided to place it on top of his shelf for now and took his phone from his bedside cabinet. He spared a glance at the invitation Kuro gave to him. Kairyo’s eyes widened, and his jaw dropped. It looked like it was glowing.

After he got ready and took the keys. He looked at a white mask he bought, and then to the book. He adjusted the white tie from his formal outfit. He likes this outfit; looks like something he’s find in the stories he reads… It something like a blue blouse with a dark blue vest, white coat, dark blue pants, all with white laces, and a few extra details. It doesn’t really match well with the black bag on his back though. He thought a black ribbon would match, so he tied his hair with a black ribbon.

“Sorry Kairyo, I can’t bring you today…” Kairyo meowed softly in understanding, he nodded. Hiroko can trust the creature since it's quite independent. He spared one last glance at the white mask with a black smile, the eyes closed… before locking and leaving the house.

He texted Ren’s number. They have been calling and exchanging a bit of information for a while, but they haven’t met much after he invited him to his… hideout or lair...

Ren: “Aww? You miss me, Hun?” He could imagine him saying that with a mocking tone.

Hiroko: “No. Just asking.” Ok, in all honesty, he kind of does… just not that much. Also, why does Ren keep on calling him weird nicknames except for his actual name? He has never heard him say his name.

Hiroko: “By the way, the banquet I got invited too… did you find any information that’s useful about the host?” He told him the details yesterday about his encounter with Kuro.

Ren: “Not really, just some regular ones except for the fact that his family died, I guess. Also, he’s a literal crown prince of some country…” Ah…

Ren: “Why do you want to know about him anyways? Do you know him?”

Hiroko: “Oh, not at all. I just thought it might be related… sorry, I need to go and meet a certain now.”
