Eleanor

I was up and ready when Beth knocked and called out to the door that the materials I asked for were ready.

Last night before I went to my room, I asked Beth and Inez if there were any medical equipments or first-aid kits available in this house.

I planned to bring them to our mission today with the bandits because as much as possible, as a physician's role to heal, I wanted to be able to do something even without this place's magic or sorcery.

As I opened the door, she presented me with different instruments on a tray.

"Thank you, Beth." I took the tray from her without any hesitation and with a satisfied smile.

"I'll just sort these things out and bring the ones I need." I added.

"You're welcome, Lady Eleanor." She said with a bow.

"By the way, my lady, whenever you're ready, Sir Clyde and Sir Galahan along with the knights are waiting for you downstairs." Beth added hurriedly.

"But you don't have to rush, my lady." She said with a shy smile.

"Sure Beth, I'll call for you when I'm done." I reassured her, then closed the door.

I laid out the materials on the bed and examined each one of them. Hmm.. oh good, there's a plaster. Oh, bandages too.

After sorting through all the materials, I got what I needed and put them all in the small bag provided to me by Beth.

This should do. But I wonder how they got all these? And who uses them if they rely on magic?

I discarded all my thoughts for a second and took one last look of my outfit on the mirror.

For today, I wore a dark coat over a white turtle neck top coz it's chilly in this place. I put my shoulder length hair in a ponytail so I could focus more without any disturbances from misplaced hair. My bottoms were khaki pants with black boots so that I'll be ready for any running and mud.

I went downstairs with the medical bag in my hand. With all of my excitement, it totally slipped my mind of how humiliated I was yesterday with Sir Galahan's weredog form.

I just remembered when I saw the handsome young man with short white silvery hair standing next to Clyde. Gawd. This must probably be Sir Galahan in human form. How can he be so handsome as a human and so cute as a puppy? Ughh.

"Good morning.." I muttered shyly to the both of them.

"Your highness." Sir Galahan turned to face me and bowed in greeting. Though, I really can't and will never get used to this.

"I apologize for having to meet you in my weredog form yesterday which caused some confu-"

"Yeah sure.. it's truly okay Sir Galahan.." I stopped him midway.

If anything else, I don't wanna talk about it. Sheesh.

"I should be the one to apologize. He he." I added awkwardly without meeting his eyes as I can feel the red showing up in my cheeks again. I wanted to move on already from yesterday's events. Ughhh.

"Uh.. Shall we go?" I promptly uttered and turned to Clyde who nodded in approval. We headed towards the door along with the two knights that Clyde assigned.

A black wagon was waiting for us outside led by two brown horses. Clyde accompanied us to the wagon until we all positioned ourselves in. His tense aura seemed like someone's about to shoot an arrow at us anytime. With his last few words to Sir Galahan, he wished us a safe trip.
