The matches had been decided and Megumi was against TetsuTetsu, he didn't know exactly what his quirk was but he didn't care, he noticed that all the students here tend to use their quirk as soon as the battle started, sure, he depended on his shinigami too, but he knew how to defend himself even without them.
He was sitting on the stands and looking at the first match which was Izuku Midorya vs Shinso Hitoshi, he could hear most of the crowd cheering for Deku even thought he still didn't show his quirk until now, probably just because he was in the hero course.
Megumi on the other side, thought that Shinso could win, Izuku still wasn't able to use his quirk well.
The match began and Shinso started talking to Izuku, about how he was lucky to be born with a powerfull quirk and things like this but he mostly ignored the conversation, he only noticed the match when Shinso had been able to brainwash his classmate, so he was right, the guy had been able to beat his classmate.
Unfortunately for Shinso Deku was was able to free himself from his mind control and he then punched Shinso unconscious and won the fight, everyone in his class was happy for him and started saying things like "oh my god, he was so cool." "That was so manly." Then he heard Iida say "you see, that is an example of a hero, even if you've been put under the villains control you should always fight it back!" Momo nodded agreeing with him "you're wrong." Megumi said as everyone turned to him not understanding "you mean that we should just let the villain control us?!" Momo said and Megumi shook his head "you might not be alive if that ever happens, the villain might force you to kill yourself or your friends, what are you gonna do at that point?" He asked them and they all stayed silent not knowing what to say.
"What would you do Fushiguro?" Uraraka asked "If the villain told me to kill myself I probably would try to snap out of it but if I would be forced to kill my friend I would kill myself in the blink of an eye, worst case scenario let them kill me." Megumi explained
"and who are this friends?" Denki asked curious "Itadori, Kugisaki, Maki senpai, Inumaki senpai, panda senpai and Gojo sensei." He said and the class 1a students were sad that they were not included in the list but instead these strangers were listed.
"and who are these people?" Mina asked "old acquaintances." Megumi said and they understood that they didn't need to ask because he wasn't going to explain.
"AND NOW, WE HAVE SHOTO TODOROKI FROM CLASS 1-A VS HANTA SERO FROM CLASS 1-A" Present Mic yelled and the crowd cheered as soon as Present Mic yelled "start" Sero immediately rapped Todoroki in his tape and started swinging him around the ring when suddenly Todoroki used his quirk to freeze Sero but the ice spread too much and half of the ring was covered in ice.
All the the fights were the same and soon it was finally Megumi's turn, he was up against TetsuTetsu "ON THE RIGHT WE HAVE FUSHIGURO MEGUMI FROM CLASS 1-A AND ON THE LEFT WE HAVE TETSUTETSU FROM CLASS 1-B" Present Mic yelled, Megumi had no idea who this guy was.
"START!" Present Mic yelled and TetsuTetsu used his quirk immediately "let's be manly and get serious already" Megumi shrugged "sure, if you want that." He then summoned his dog and the dog attacked TetsuTetsu
"AND FUSHIGURO SENT AN ATTACK AT TETSUTETSU WHO IMMEDIATELY BLOCKED IT! OH, FUSHIGURO'S MOVING, WHAT IS HE GONNA DO?" Megumi ran at him and took a sword out of his shadow and as his dog pinned down TetsuTetsu so that he couldn't move Megumi put a sword right next to his neck
"HUH? WHAT'S HAPPENING? DID FUSHIGURO ALREADY FORGET WHAT TETSUTETSU'S QUIRK IS?" Present Mic shouted and you could clearly see the annoyance on Megumi's face TetsuTetsu used his quirk and said "that sword is useless against me." Megumi rolled his eyes in annoyance and slightly pressed the sword on his neck and a bit of blood came out.
TetsuTetsu was a bit scared, the person in front of him looke so serious "I give up." he said and Megumi put away the sword as Midight announced that TetsuTetsu had given up and the crowd was confused but yeah all of the next fights made them forget about what happened.
Megumi just walked arund not knowing what to do when he suddenly came across some 3rd year students "hi! You're Fushiguro Megumi right? I'm Mirio Togata, a third year, I saw what you did, it was super cool!" As soon as Megumi was about to answer a girl talked "and I'm Nejire Hado and that's Tamaki Amajiki, he's a little shy, we just wanted to tell you that you did very well in the sports festival."
"thanks" Megumi said and then just continued walking not wanting to expand the conversation.
He then arrived where his class was seated and sat down in time to see Todoroki and Midorya's match, in the end Todoroki won because Midorya made him use his fire.
Afterwards Iida and Shiozaki were against each other and Iida won, the next one's were Ashido against Tokoyami, Tokoyami eventually won and Megumi's turn arrived, he was against Bakugou, he sighed, Bakugou was gonna be annoying both if he won and if he lost.
"AND NOW, A VERY INTERESTING FIGHT BETWEEN FUSHIGURO MEGUMI AND BAKUGOU KATSUKI, I WONDER WHO WILL WIN!" Present Mic shouted and so did the rest of the audience.
"oi, to make it clear, what you did at the USJ wasn't anything special, I could have done that too." Bakugou said "whatever makes you sleep at night" Megumi answered not in the mood for that "AND START!" Midnight yelled and Bakugou immediately attacked him but Megumi was fast enough to dodge the attack.
Bekugou continued launching attacks at him and he dodged easily, Bakugou was getting angrier the more he dodged, he decided to use his most powerful move even thought he was planning to use it in the finals.
He started collecting his sweat and suddenly burst in the air, Megumi wasn't expecting it and Bakugou grinned but he wasn't the only one to still have hidden moves.
Megumi recovered in two seconds and started running towards him "WHAT IS FUSHIGURO DOING? RUNNING RIGHT TO BAKUGOU WITHOUT A PLAN." Present Mic yelled and Aizawa next to him said "Fushiguro isn't the kind of person to do something without a plan, he probably has an idea."
As Bakugou made contact with the ground there was smoke everywhere "WELL, I GUESS WE CAN ANNOUNCE WHO THE WINNER OF THE MATCH IS" Present Mic said as they all saw Megumi get hit but as they looked at the ring they saw an unconscious Bakugou and Megumi standing there completely fine.
"Have some faith in people will you!?" Megumi said as he walked out of the ring and Present Mic yelled "UNBELIEVABLE FUSHIGURO MANAGED TO RESIST TO THAT ATTACK! AND WE CAN DECLARE HIM AS THE WINNER!"
