"Try to keep up!" Perseus yelled as the wolves chased him through the wolves. They had nothing to worry about, the monsters were all taken care of and his mother and sisters still had yet to replenish the forest. So he took the opportunity to bask in the silence of the woods when the wolves decided to pounce on him. He ended up falling into the shallow stream of water as the wolves continued running off. He managed to catch up and tap all of them on their heads and raced them.

They reached the other side of the island in little time with them arriving at the same time.

"You guys are getting faster." Perseus panted but quickly regained his breath.

"Don't forget taller!" Rose said.

"And stronger!" Oliver exclaimed.

"Do not flatter yourself," Perseus laughed. "I shall say though all are growing." Perseus couldn't ask more than this, he was content on his island and wished he could spend his counted days here, he would never say this out loud but he was afraid of the mortal world, Zoe and the rest have stories that made them turn their backs on men and Perseus ended up becoming afraid of them. He wishes by the fates that he wouldn't encounter one soon. But they saw a thunderstorm in the distance bringing him out of his thoughts. There had been weird weather around their island lately, in all his years of being on the island it was rare they experienced rain since that involved Zeus, so when they did it was brought on naturally, even then it was very little. Now, they would see freakish weather every other day.

"Perseus!" Artemis called.

"Coming mother!" Perseus yelled back. "Let us return." He said to the wolves.

"We'll beat you this time!" Lily said.

"I shall give you a five-second headstart," Perseus said. He knows being prideful was bad but he loved teasing the wolves.

"Hurry!" Willow said to the rest and they were off. Perseus looked at the horizon once more before running back as well.

Perseus rushed to bow to his mother before hugging her. "Relax Perseus, I won't disappear."

"Pardon me mother," Perseus said. Artemis only had to smile when the wind started picking up and her illusion form started to flicker. She had a distant look in her eyes every so often along with fear, and dread. Perseus thought he was imagining it at first since it went as fast as it came but Artemis has been getting that look a lot lately and he couldn't deny anymore that something was wrong.

"Walk with me," She said. "Not all of you." She said chuckling at the litter of wolves. They adventured back into the forest deep enough that they couldn't see the ocean as if she was afraid it would overhear.

"What is it that you wish to say to me mother?"

"I want you to be mentally prepared." She spoke bluntly.

Perseus didn't even hesitate. "For what might I ask?"

"The mortal world," Artemis spoke. "There is something big coming."

"Are you referring to the storms? Lord Zeus and Lord Poseidon?" He asked as lighting struck the sea.

"Careful my child, names have power," Artemis spoke. "But yes, Zoe shall be arriving shortly to warn you about the world. Per usual I shall help you with our history as well." Artemis smiled warmly and spoke with almost relief. "You are 12 now, I have almost broken through with a spell that shall allow you to join the hunt." 'And free you from the prophecy...'

"That is a wonderful mother!" Perseus jumped with joy. "I shall finally be able to accompany my sisters!"

"Right you are Perseus," Artemis said with a smile then looked back there was a flash of light. "Zoe is here, let us greet her." Hearing this he practically ran into Zoe.

"Calm thyself down!" Zoe said. "I am here."

"You haven't visited in a while!" Zoe didn't know how it was possible for someone his age to still be doing puppy dog eyes. She curses those wolves. "I had missed my sister..."

"We were assigned a task," Zoe said tensing glancing at Artemis whose face turned neutral. "Do not worry Perseus thy did not and shall not ever forget you." She ruffled his hair.

"Let us begin."

***

Perseus went to sleep exhausted. He could train for days without end, but when it came to the history of the gods Perseus nearly passes out every time it starts. The words on his paper would swirl and they ended up switching his reading to greek which was only somewhat more bearable. He had the lessons reviewed every day as if his life would depend on it. Maybe it would in the real world if he ever came to encounter them.

Twisting and turning in his makeshift bed he finally got up. Something was off about today, he decided to take a walk on the shore. Putting his coat on he wandered past the wolves and out of the den. Once he arrived the storm from early on was still raging on. The water was rough against the thunder but soft against his shores. Perseus was never allowed to touch the seawater. Just like he was told never to try flying if he could. His mother reasoned that because she was a maiden, having taken in a child, a male at that, would send Olympus to investigate him, take him somewhere where he would be under the influence of men wasting all her efforts.

He never dared stay more than 6 feet away, he wouldn't disobey his mother or sisters. But that didn't mean he could admire it. He watched as the sea and sky fought, and felt the wind being picked up. Next, the earth began to shake.

The island never shook before, but it only took a moment before it went back to normal. He was going to return to sleep back at the den when he took one more glance at the ocean to see a huge wave coming his way.

He started running almost off the shore and back to the safety of the woods when he felt the cool water wash all over him. He wanted to yell but found himself falling asleep in darkness.

When he awoke he found himself on someone's shoulder. His first thought was that one of his sisters was carrying him back, but his first instinct screamed at him to get away. He snapped open his eyes and jumped off causing the person in front of him to fall with a thud.

"Ow!" The person whined. When Perseus realized it was a male he immediately went for his bow but found it gone so he dropped into a fighting position.

"Who are you? State your name and purpose, and pray whether or not the gods allow you to survive this fight against me." Perseus said.

"Whoa! No, I-I think you got it all wrong." The male, boy (Perseus corrected himself) said. "I-I'm a satyr, not a monster!"

"Boy..." The simple word on his tongue tasted bitter. "What plans did you have to deceive me with?"

The boy only let out a squeak and raised his hands in defense. "Nothing! You were passed out on the school grounds all wet and my...supervisor saw and told me to take you to camp."

"..." Perseus didn't believe a single thing that came out of that boy's mouth.  "What camp?"
