"Y." I held a small whiteboard in my hand, she repeated after me, "/." Trying her best to understand, "N."

I underlined my name, "Y/N." She babbled a bit, "Aba aba! Ebe- Yug!" She proudly groaned, "Hmm, okay, maybe a nickname." I crossed out my name.

Telling her to watch, sounding out each letter, "Here, my dad calls me this a lot. Jo-" She watched, repeating after me. "-jo."

She swatted her hair away, squinting at the words, "Joh... Johjoh!" She almost got it!

She jumped around, happy at her success, now we can start on the last 3 letters of the alphabet.

She suddenly took the marker, struggling to hold it, "Bah! Nuh!" She yelled, dropping it and taking her claws to the bark of the tree.

Carving a very messy s-i-l-v-i-r into it, scratching at it, "Is that your name?" I asked, she nodded.

I looked at it, "Not much of a girl name." I took out my pocket knife, carving into the name.

Leaving Sylvie in the wood, "Like it?" Her eyes shined at it, nodding her head wildly, she looked at me, "Sivvee! Me Sivvee!" She said.

I pet her head, "Yes! You are Sylvie!" She purred in my hand, happy at my joy for her progress.

Hermit Purple retracted from the room's TV, giving me another clear look at out past.

She couldn't speak, read, or write when I found her, so I tried to teach her.

Tried. It took a good while, even after a year she only had a loose grasp on it, making small mistakes, grammar and the like.

But even in her initial frustration, she gave it her all, trying for me.

"When this is over... When we get Vale back... I will find you..." I muttered, the screen turning to loud static.

"Y/N...?" I shut the thing off, standing up and turning around, Ruby laid on the couch, eyemask on her forehead, "What're you doing...?" She asked, half asleep.

I told her it was nothing, I just saw the TV was on and turned it off, "Ah..." The girl yawned, "G'night..." Pulling the mask back down and laying down.

I sighed and sat back in a chair. I looked at my arm, grabbed it, and took it off.

I still feel it...

Those pains, even though they're gone, I feel them all, "Just want... To feel you again..." I dozed off.

"You're sure?" My dad spoke with me on my Scroll, I nodded, "Right, bye." Hanging up and looking at my team.

They all lazed about in the comfy room, napping or just relaxing, "So?" Sid asked, sitting down next to me.

"You'll never guess who they found dead outside Vale." Sid questioned why i sounded so chipper, saying that it's kind of messed up to be so happy.

"Roman Torchwick." Then retracting his statement, high fiving me, "How'd it happen?" He asked.

"Legs were broken. Crushed under something heavy, he was found in shreds, probably Grimm." Sid winced at that, "Sucks he's not as stubborn as you."

Yeah, but if i was turned into jerky by that Beowulf, don't know if i would've been able to get up afterwards.
