I may not have been the only one to have experienced such an event, but it sure does leave a sight in mind.
Being a young one, around say 7 or 8, I was finally old enough in my parent's eyes to stay home by myself while they go about their daily tasks. As a child, I was so excited to be able to stay at the house and do whatever I wanted, so this day I did just that.
I decided I wanted to stay home and watch tv while my family went grocery shopping. They told me the rules, made sure I would be ok, and in the end left for the store. As that happened, I quickly went to the couch the doorway into the hall faced. As I was going on Netflix, I noticed something odd. I felt something odd. I felt I wasn't alone.
Trying to brush the feeling off, I chose to ignore such a thing as I continued to pay attention to the tv. However, all of that changed as in the corner of my eye I saw something...something in the hall.
Now...it's one thing to see something in the corner of your eye, it's another to see a figure in the corner of your eye...But let me TELL you when I say that it's completely different altogether to look dead at the thing and it's STILL there. I had no clue what to do- I was positive that the door was locked and that no one else was supposed to be in the house besides me. Yet here I was, facing what seemed to be the silhouette of a man, no face, nothing to point him out, nothing that would give a sign that this was a literal person...just the shadow of one.
Then I looked away. I didn't want to see it anymore and I felt that was the only way to get rid of the sight, and it was. The figure was gone. I couldn't explain what I had seen and even if I could, I had no one to tell right away. So here I was, a scared child who had moved seats away from the hall, alone as I watched tv.
