I held the coffee cautiously as I looked outside the window. The weather on earth is horrible. I stood up from my windowsill. I felt a slight chill slide down my spine. "Hello Clarisa!" A bright sunny voice said. I placed the mug on the table.
"Hi Nancy..." I sighed in relief. "You scared me!" I added.
"You're always like that! You're always...Nervous. As if you're expecting someone to attack you. Are you sure you're alright?" She walked over to the couch and set her bag on the coffee table.
"Never better..." She looked at me hardly convinced. "Why are you here?" I stuffed my hands in my pants.
"Well, I wanted to remind you about the big party at my house!" She exclaimed.
"Do I really have to be there? I mean, I may be a bother to you if I came." She stood up and walked to me.
"Clarisa, you are my best friend. The only bother that you will cause is you not going." She was already in front of me.
"Fine, I will come. When will this party happen?"
"Tonight." She smiled brightly.
"Tonight?" I echoed.
"Yeah, why? Are you doing something tonight?" Her smiled faded.
"No, it's just that I forgot to buy a party dress."
"Not to worry! You look beautiful in any clothing!" She looked at her wrist watch, her eyes widened. "Oh my, look at the time! I still have to buy some food for the party!" I hugged me tightly, grabbed her bag and headed for the door. "Bye Clarisa!" She shouted and ran off outside my apartment. Oh dear, what should I wear? I ran to my closet as fast as I can. I opened it and saw my favorite dress. A white sundress with a golden belt. I never wore black, for an angel it's forbidden. Looked at the time, it was 3:45pm. Maybe I could sleep for a while, it's still early. I dozed off for I bit, cause I know I'll be tired later. When I woke up, it was already 5:59pm! As soon as I saw the time, ran to the closet. I wore the white dress with a golden belt. I also wore a pair of white ballerina flats. I fixed my hair with a golden headband, used light make up and I grabbed my purse. I looked at the mirror, gave myself a big smile then my phone rang. I searched my bag and I finally found it.
"Hi Nancy...Sorry I'm going to be late. I'm so sorry. I promise I will be there."
"Clarisa, I was starting to get worried!" She shouted, I heard some really loud music at the back.
"Sure, I'll be there in a flash! See you later bye."
"Ok, see you too." She hanged up. I picked up my purse and headed out. I was too busy checking my purse that I bumped into someone. All I can say he was tall, I was only looking at his chest. I looked up to see a guy with jet black hair that was jelled up. He was handsome, yet he grunted at me. "Sorry." His eyes met mine. They were piercing blue, he was perfect. He said nothing and walked away. Blushed deeply, who could have I fallen for such a mortal? I just called a cab, gave the directions the driver needed. We were already here. "Hey Ms. Skinny legs! Pay up." I gave him the money and headed out. "They get worse every year." I mumbled. I already saw people on the lawn partying. There were also really loud music. I walked to the front door knocked, while there were drunk teenagers on the porch. "Hey beautiful." One said in a varsity jacket. He was trying to kiss me. Some of his friends were pulling me. "No!" I resisted.
"C'mon, sweet cheeks! Stop it. I know you want me." He said a little tipsy. He tightened his grip on my arm.
"Help!" No one bothered to help me. Then suddenly the guy I bumped earlier had his arm around me.
"Excuse me?" He said in a really charming voice. The teenagers removed their hands off me. "Are they bothering you, honey?" He faced me with his hand holding my chin. His face were inches away from mine. He kissed me, my eyes widened As shocked as I was. He pulled away and wrapped his arm around me again. "Would you mind?" He hissed the teens and opened the door for me and him.
"Why on earth did you that?!" I asked as he slammed the door.
"Well, I saw that you were in trouble and I helped you..." He said walking towards me, making me walk backwards until I bumped the wall. He placed his arm on the wall and the other placed close to my arm. "..But admit it, you liked the kiss didn't you?" He gave me a devilish smile.
"Um...Clarisa, am I disturbing something?" Nancy said behind this guy. He got off of me, a little pissed at Nancy I don't know why.
"No, not at all." I blushed.
"Hi Gabriel, I didn't know you two are together!" She teased.
"We're not!" I blushed, I looked at Gabriel. He was just casually standing there with folded arms. The moment our eyes met, he smiled.
"You know what? You look good together!" She sipped on her martini.
"Dude, I don't even know her!" He said smirking.
"Ok... Gabriel Mason meet Clarisa Monroe, Clarisa Monroe meet Gabriel Mason." She smiled.
"You can call me Gab." He turned to me with his hand extended.
"Nice to meet you." Then I felt a sudden shock, I jerked my hand away. Gab bursts out laughing while clapping his hands. Then he showed me his palm. How immature, a joy buzzer. "I hate you." I mumbled.
"I know and that's how I like it." Before he left, he kissed my cheek and winked at me. I rolled my eyes, I thought he will never leave.
"So?" Nancy said.
"So what?"
"Well, do you love him or not?" I glared at her.
"I barely know the guy!" I shrugged. "Whatever. Lets just have fun!" I grabbed her hand and we both hit the dance floor. Gabriel Mason...I hate you.
