Let the Games Begin

Percy P.O.V
After we said our goodbyes, we were transported to the Training Centre to begin the week training we got before the games.

As soon as I went in all heads turned to us. I was trying to look down and the ground so people would ignore me when Annabeth nudged me.

"Look up Seaweed Brain"
"I don't want to just where do you want to start training?"

I heard a familiar voice call my name. I looked up and all well most of my friends were there. Nico, Will, Piper, Leo, the Hunters and even Calypso. I was not expecting that.

Then for the second time that week, a realisation dawned on me.

To survive I was going to have to kill all my friends.

The week went too fast. I spent my last good days with my friends.

I could probably kill most of these. I felt sick that I had just thought that.

On the final day, we were sent to the arena. I'll skip the part about the ceremony to get people to like us because I do not need to relive that.

I stood on my platform as it was raised into the arena. I looked around as all of my friends rose from their platforms.

We had to wait for the longest time.

Shut up it was only 10 seconds.

If we got off out platforms before the bell sounded we would be exploded. That would be it. There would be no dignity or grace nobody would think back and say " Remember Percy Jackson, the poor boy that was blown to smithereens "

The bell sounded. I figured a few of the Hunters wouldn't hesitate in killing us, so we ran. Thank the gods Artemis wasn't there or we would be dead for sure.

We had gone for a few days with no deaths when we had enough. We all grouped up and found a flaw in the force field. I have never been happier to have Leo with me. Between him and Annabeth they were able to dismantle it.

That was it we were free. Or so we thought.
