My first day at school in Quebria. The first challenge i faced was obviously not being able to communicate. Quebric was the speech in Dgarlan but i had no prior knowledge of the language.

Mother dropped me at school at 7:30 in the morning. The sky was empty of any clouds and the sun was not fully out yet. She left me at the gate and returned home and i went on my way to find the class with matching labels as the white paper slip i was left behind with. I walked the the hallway looking down on my slip occasionally raising my head right up to look at the name plates above the doors of the classrooms. Suddenly i saw an adult across on the other side of the hallway and as such i decided to ask for some help, she looked like a teacher so i was sure that she could help me find my destination.

"Hello, miss" i said.
"Could you help me find 4-A?"

Her face looked clueless as she panicked to try to understand what i was saying. That was when i heard a voice from behind me. "Are you in 4-A too?" someone called. I turned back to see a petite boy with black hair and blue eyes. "come with me, ill take you to the classroom." he exclaimed and started walking. I followed him, the hallway was painted teal but had now become mostly grey by the sight of exposed concrete. To my right were the windows through which we could see the green grass of the playing field. Meanwhile as I was too busy admiring the field Soon we were there in front of the classroom, the nameplate read 4A. I went in and sat next to him.

"Hey.." i greeted.
"hello."
"um wow, i was really surprised hearing someone know english here.."
"oh right, i'm not from here like you so i guess..."
"hah yeah..."

we didn't talk much for the rest of the day. It was really awkward but the time sort of flew by unnoticed. So did a week. The next Monday felt different though, the seating arrangement was announced and my seat was fixed next to this girl named Leah. She was quite...well liked?. Well she had a lot of friends and an outgoing personality. blonde hair and hazel eyes with fair skin like daisy petals, most people in the class liked her for her willingness to help anyone with the courage to ask. Akar sat in the next row so there was still some room for contact, thankfully.

Our homeroom teacher, Ms. Lavern took the roll call and left after a little while. Whenever a teacher left the class fell into a calamity with a wave of primary schoolers shouting and tripping over each other trying to get to their friends on the opposite corner with chairs and desks flying across and screeches being heard. It was quite chaotic. Leah looked over to me and asked.

"Hey, are you new here? i haven't seen you around."
"Yeah i recently came to this country..." i replied, hesitantly.
"oh cool, wanna come with me around the neighborhood after school?"

"sure".

Mr. Jay, our math teacher entered not too long after and after a total of about 5 more periods was the end of my first day at school. As i was leaving the giant rusty iron gate at the front of our school, i noticed Leah waiting right outside. She turned and waved to me, calling me to come quicker. "Sorry, i made you wait" I apologized. She shook her head in denial ,"i didn't stand for long". "Anyways, follow me, ill show you around". I looked up to the giant clock on the school building, "2:18" it read and off i went...
