The Dream

The massive door which stands in front of me creaks open as I then the knob. I wonder where I am and how I got here. I push the surprisingly heavy door open and and bright sunlight hits my face. When my eyes finally adjust to the sunlight, I see a forest full of trees with canopies that reach the sky above me. The sun shines through a narrow path that cuts the forest in half.
I begin walking down the path. I've walked about half a mile or so when I hear something rustling in the bushes beside me. I stop walking, curious to know what it is. I stare in shock as the bush begins to take a human-like form.
"It's alright, I won't hurt you," the creature says. "I'm Oak, nice to meet you."
"I'm Sylvie," I say. I hear the sound of twigs snapping under someone's feet not too far away. Oak looks scared.
"You have to help me. This guy named Al is trying to kill me. He's an elf and he's dressed in red and black plaid clothes." As she says that, an elf dress like a lumberjack appears from behind a tree. He has an axe in his hand. Oak's eyes widen in shock and fear.
"That's him! Run," she yells and sprints into the forest. I follow her, trying not to lose her as she blends in with the trees. I'm careful not to trip on any roots or broken branches.
We run for what seems like hours and come to an abrupt stop because a white walls stands before us. Not only does it stretch for miles, it's also way too high to climb.
Before we can plan what to do next, Al shows up behind us. Oak shrieks as the elf brings up his axe.
"Only you can save me," she whispers and I jump in front of her. My heart rate picks up and I start shaking we Al hammers the axe down.
I scream. My heart is racing and I was drenched in my own sweat. It takes me a minute to process what had just happened and as I look around the room, I discover that I'm in my own room. Then I realize it had all been a dream.

A/N: The picture to the side is of what Oak looks like :)
