Chapter 1

"I'll jump off the building if you don't go home!"

Shao Sheng'an was at a loss as he stood in the hotel hallway, and he could still hear his wife's voice telling him she was going to jump from a building.

What's going on?

Before heading to bed last night, he and his wife did a video call. She was talking and laughing with him, telling him that she would get a head start on bed as she would be heading out with her girlfriends the following day to help buy wedding materials. The two of them have a time difference. He is currently on a business trip in Country A. Furthermore, his wife advised him to work hard in order to sign a contract and go home as soon as possible.

What took place throughout those nine hours? When his wife awoke, she called and threatened to jump from a building if he didn't return home.

Shao Sheng'an is completely unable to comprehend it. How can he currently obtain permission to return home? He went to Country A on business with his company. If the meeting goes well, this contract can be negotiated, and he could receive at least a 200,000 yuan bonus. They can finally pay off the down payment on the school district house they are looking for with this money. However, the most crucial meeting will take place tomorrow. Qingqing will have no problem getting pregnant if they had this  house. She adores kids so much that her eyes always brighten when she sees the children playing in the neighborhood.

Buzz, the phone momentarily vibrated. He turned it on and noticed a significant change. His wife sent him a video shortly after they had hung up the phone, which turned out to be a view from her balcony as she looked down on the ground floor.

His wife's face then came into view on the camera lens. His wife had puffy, red eyes. She stated, looking at the camera, "Shao Sheng'an, if I don't see a picture of you booking a flight home in the next five minutes, I'm going to jump down. Don't even consider dialing 911. I'll jump out the moment I see a firetruck. You know I always speak truthfully and keep my word."

Shao Sheng'an clutched the wall after the video ended.

"Shao Sheng'an, what's wrong? Are you uncomfortable?" The door was opened by his college, "Your expression is so distorted. Do you feel okay?"

The resolute face of his wife was all Shao Sheng'an could think about. He believed that if he didn't follow her instructions, she might actually jump from the building!

He pushed his colleague away for two steps and fell directly to the ground. He didn't care to get up. He sat directly on the ground and began to book tickets with his mobile phone. His fingers were  shaking so badly that he typed wrong. He took a deep breath and re-wrote: Moon City. If the direct flight from Country A to China does not arrive at Huacheng, you have to go to Yuecheng first and then take other means of transportation.

The latest ticket was at 10 p.m. local time. He did not hesitate to book the ticket for payment, and then sent a screenshot to his wife and called.

"Why did you buy a plane ticket, Sheng'an? The work here hasn't been good yet." The partner was puzzled.

Shao Sheng'an ignored him and waited nervously for the phone to be connected.

The phone rang.

Call again, on the phone.

Until the third one was called, the phone was connected.

"Hey Qingqing, I have booked the ticket. The ticket is at 10 p.m. in China, it's 1:00 p.m. Did you see it?"
