Falling.

The dream starts the same every night.

Casted out.
To be forgotten.
Replaced.

Dark gray clouds cover the bright light known to be my fathers face. Shriveled white feathers turned red then faded into grey, lastly reducing to black ash as they continue to fall through earth's atmosphere.

My brother's bodies litter the ground. One by one their bodies lay in moist land, close by, scattered green shrubs decorate the flat lands as far as the eye can see.

I slowly begin to stand, the ground under me begins to quake violent shakes. The earth separates itself beneath my feet and I'm swallowed by the darkness, falling until I'm not. Breathing heavily I look around the dark area, turning around at the sound of rustling leaves behind me. A single tree full of white leaves faces me, a strawberry bush at its base blooming healthy fruit.

My feet trudge me over to the tree before I realize I'm walking, upon further inspection, I see they are not leaves but feathers. They fall gracefully, covering the ground surrounding the area. A quiet giggle from behind the tree snatches my attention away from the shining fruit, red as rubies are those strawberries.

A girl.

Her back to the tree and I. She shines bright like father. My feet begin to make my way to her slowly, she begins to turn around in my direction. Her eyes burn into mine as she fully faces me revealing a gold beating heart in her arms. A pain unlike any other snatches the very air from lungs, I clutch my chest only to realize my heart is missing. A hole resides in my chest, I look back up to the woman holding my heart to realize her eyes still hold mine. Her beauty holds no bounds, sculpted by father himself, this woman for sure captivates the hearts of many. The pace in my steps quickens and I feel the sting of my claws sharpen,

"No!" I shout but it's too late, my body acts on its own. Shredding the woman's chest and arms, I take back my heart. Her body goes limp and tears begin to stream down her face. I kneel down close beside her,

"Azazel" she whispers, her hand reaches up to tuck some loose locks behind my ear.

Her voice is very familiar.

Against my will, my hand raises to catch hers and I hold it as I see her last breath leave. Her tears form a small puddle on the floor, gathering together, they form a small mirror. I glance to it then back to the woman's cold face, all warmth has left her body and that for some reason hurts worse than the hole in my chest. Still holding the heart I peer over the mirror to see me looking down. A set of eyes stares back at me, one red irise and one gold. My eyebrows knit in confusion,

"That's not right" I simply state to the mirror. It begins to fog over, melting back into tears. The liquid forms one word, eat.

Standing and making my way to the strawberry shrub, I pick the biggest brightest strawberry and bite. Fuzzy vision soon clears to a view of my room,

"What the fuck was that?"
