Chapter One: The Prince's Favorite

As the Prince's Regalia, Lady, was towed into the garage, her 'twin' was sitting across the parking lot. At Takka's and attached to a chocobo trailer. Iris had went ahead of them to Lestallum, as it was where she was to meet up with her brother, so it left Libertus with Princess Dusk and her valet, Sommer. (AN: The princess is able to use magic like what Doctor Strange uses, but she's never mastered portals to go through...just ones to communicate through. Do 'video calls' with). Libertus was inside Takka's loading up on a couple of days worth of packed dishes. Libertus had made a promise to the King to let Dusk live her life as she wanted to. If they saw the prince, they were not to say anything about what happened in Lucis, as it was likely yet to hit the news. Libertus had yet to hear something about it outside of Nyx and Luna's message.

When he had given it to her, she had cried first (he told her about her dad) in her valet's arms...then he gave her the message from her dad about 'doing something that she had wanted to for quite some time and not to let anyone stop her'... It had blown his mind, because she immediately looked up at Sommer, grabbed his face and proceeded to kiss him like they had been lovers all along. She blushed after, before hugging Libertus and Iris. Iris had been with them for a few hours, before she had to go ahead to Lestallum...to help receive refugees once they would start to leave the city (during the middle of the day, most likely).

"Princess..."

She turned around to see Sommer, who was finally speaking after she had kissed him...which was HOURS ago. In the wee hours of the morning after a horrid dawn that the world was yet to be informed about. (AN: Yes, I have the fall happening earlier than it APPEARS to be for a reason. She left the day before Noctis, Noctis the day of the fall, the fall happens in the evening/late night with Libertus making it to Hammerhead at dawn...as opposed to the prince who'd been camping in the mountains with his friends before coming to Hammerhead in the morning). She turned back to the shelf that she had been looking at.

"Your brother's Regalia has been towed into Cid's garage," Sommer continued, "if you wish to see him..."

Dusk let out a breath, wondering how she would be able to tell him something like what they found out...she'd probably have to let him find out on his own. It would be something he resented, if they saw each other, which was why she was hoping to get out of there before they noticed them. Takka had parked his truck next to her Regalia, Duchess, to block it from her brother's view for a reason.

"How would I tell him about that?" She said in a tiny, soft voice, "I'm just looking for some essentials and ingredients while Libertus is at Takka's. He could probably use help storing the food in the warmer..."

The man at the till could see Sommer's face fall. Takka had told him that the two kissed, but the Princess may have misunderstood his delayed reaction and assumed it to be rejection. She wasn't looking at him and was trying to keep it professional, but he could also see her face...and she wanted to cry. He could tell. He made a quiet gesture to get Sommer's attention, before mouthing 'she thinks that you were rejecting her'. Then the realization fell over Sommer's face, before he fell into step with Dusk. Taking the basket she was getting the snack essentials with (ramen cups, chips, candy, soda drinks, water bottles) for her, while she went to get one of the foldable carts that were marked as being "free to take"...though people always left them.

She picked out toiletries (for all three of them), medicine (painkillers and usual pharmaceuticals they used) and entertainment (books, magazines, music). Once those were paid for, she told the man at the till (Lucas) that she'd been back to get the ingredients.
