CHANNEL HFX: The Hero Factory Segment

01: Furno & Rocka - Turmoil on Tallos 5

Following the events of the massive Villain Storage Facility Breakout, or simply 'The Breakout' as the media had taken to calling it, no Heroes hands nor their cuffs would remain empty over the next few months, not until each and every villain had been apprehended.

Less than a week after catching Jawblade on the planet Scylla, immediately helping the other heroes defeat Black Phantom in the assembly tower, and running a joint mission with Nex to defuse XPlode, the red-armoured hero known as Furno had been uncomfortably idle for the past two hours, sitting in the training room alongside his best friends Surge and Breez, when Zib had rapidly approached them with another mission.

"I know you only just returned yesterday, but Surge and Furno please report to the debriefing room immediately, Stormer and Rocka are making their way there now." Whatever new threat was happening out there, Zib sounded worried about it. "And Breez, you will be going on a seperate roundup mission with Stringer, please report to the hanger bay."

The three rookies shared a glance as Zib made his exit. "For there to be four heroes dispatched, you think they finally tracked down Fire Lord and his cronies?" Furno found himself inquiring as they walked out of the room. "It makes sense," Breez hummed, remembering how the Heroes first encounter with the Fire Villains had gone.

"Well then, we'll just have to show em who's boss, cause I've been dying for action all day," Surge exclaimed, pounding one of his metallic blue fists into his palm. The rookies had reached an intersection in a hallway, one path heading down toward the hanger bay, and the second hallway going toward the debrief room. 

"Hey, Furno and Surge," Breez called back to them after the two groups had taken a few steps away, the two turned to face her. "Be careful out there. For Zib to sound so worried about your mission, it has me on edge."

"Will do," Furno nodded, and besides him, Surge's face lit up with a mischievous grin. "How about this, the first team to bring in their villain wins."

Already present in the debriefing chambers, Stormer had been reading through a transmission script, taken from the distress call originating from the mining planet, Tallos 5. Sitting across from the white-armoured bot, Rocka had managed to pull up a holo-recording of security footage, which depicted nothing but flames and civilian bots fleeing from someone, or someone's. Zib had left the two heroes alone after explaining the emergency, so that he could brief Breez and Stringer on their mission too.

"This is the Hero Factory, please state the nature of your crisis," Stormer had repeated the distress call audio, playing it at a clear volume. "This is construction bot B-16 from Tallos 5. It's them, the old miners have come back! They're going to blow the mines—"

"We've honed in on your location, a Hero Team is being prepared as we speak," reassured the dispatch bot. "Who is them, the attackers?"

For a few seconds, the panicked miner said nothing, but then, with a trembling voice he uttered, "Fire Lord, and his friends are also here. Please hurry!" And that's when the call cut out.

Stormer looked up as the door slid open, both Furno and Surge panting from having to sprint across the entire Factory just to get here. "Is it Fire Lord?" Furno assumed.

"Nice guess," Rocka grinned. "And yes, they're going after the fuel supply located on Tallos 5." The gold-armoured hero explained as the four now left the room, on their way down to the launch pads.
