Areion was now meditating on the couch Freedom HQ while still wearing his ninja suit as he started to float when suddenly he heard a voice call out to him

"Ryuga...come..."

This made him lose concentration as he fell on his butt "Who said that?" Areion looked around for the sense.

"What is it?"  Emerl appeared beside him.

"Someone calling out to me, didn't you hear that?"

"I didn't hear anything."

"It...is...time..." the voice called out once more and this time something flew out of Areion's chest and floated in front of them to reveal it is the Eye of the Dragon.

"The voice is telling me it's time for my test...to see if I'm worthy."

Emerl hummed thoughfully before speaking up "It might have to do with you having the Ryuga clan mark, which means it's mean only for you and no one else since I don't see or hear anything. It do your should do it."

"Right. But how do I do this test anyway?"

"Touch...the eye..." the voice explained.

"Guess that answered my question." Areion walked to the Eye of the Dragon before touching it with his finger and soon find themselves engulfed in a flash of light.

They soon found themselves in a chamber which appears to be built underground, given that there's a dimly lit tunnel leading out and Areion's eyes glowed ad he was wrong a wispy trail in the air.

"You're closer young Ryuga...closer to a fragment of our legacy." The voice spoke.

"Legacy...just what does she mean by that?" Areion thought in confusion.

The duo followed through the tunnel to the other side but then quickly noticed that very off about certain. Above their heads, the atmosphere was constantly changing as if space is distorting an ahead of them is some sort of cathedral which appears ancient but not degraded and destroyed.

"I don't think we're in New Mobotropolis anymore." Areion noted.

"Gee, ya think?" Emerl responded sarcastically.

Areion was about to retort when the voice spoke up "Enter and prove yourself worthy of being one of us and capable of carrying on our legacy."

"The voice is telling about the test." Areion explained.

Upon stepping inside, the doors suddenly slammed shut and locked them inside with a powerful barrier which left Areion and Emerl little choice but to press forward. They set to venturing though the rooms and large halls to find their way around, having to double back to previously looked down safer finding their specific keys. After some more exploration, the duo found themselves in a room on the upper level

"What the, what's going on?!" Areion asked, looking around sharply

Emerl raised his fists in response "I don't know but I don't like it!"

Areion slowly backed towards a wall which had a large mirror behind him,  it there was something very strange going on with it. The reflection wasn't having a reflection of Emerl standing next to him and it actually turned around to face him with a blank look on on face and lifeless eyes. Areion spun around and was shocked that his reflection wasn't mimicking and began talking forward to the point of actually merging from the mirror to stand before him.

"My life keeps getting weirder." Areion said, feeling like he's in a horror movie. He doesn't do well with those, finds it hard to sleep sometimes.

"And this is coming from the guy who faced lava monsters and went on spaceships."  Emerl shrugged.
