Annie X Armin

Chapter 1/2

//Armin POV//

It's been two days since the Survey Corps captured Annie in a crystal. Armin wanted to feel relieved that a threat was gone but he didn't. He didn't feel fine at all, on the day he saw Annie frozen in the crystal, the way a tear was frozen on her cheek. He realized that he was liked her...he was in love with Annie. So for the past two days, he spent it standing and looking at the frozen tomb that kept Annie. He didn't feel like leaving her side.

"Armin." He turns around to see his best friend, Eren, looking at him from the doorway.

"Hey, Eren." Armin said as he went back to staring at the crystal.

"You still here, huh? Armin, did you get some sleep last night? You look beat." He heard Eren ask as his footstep stop beside him.

"I can't sleep, Eren." Armin told him.

"Does it bother you...knowing that Annie was against humanity?" Eren asked him. Armin never told him about his feelings about Annie. But he wanted to get it off his chest and decided to tell him.

"Eren, can you keep a secret?" Armin asked him.

"Sure, buddy." Eren nodded.

"What's really bothering me isn't finding out that Annie is against humanity...it's because I'm in love with her." Armin said slowly.

"Ok...Wait-WHAT?!" Eren cried out. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

"Shh!" Armin shushed him. "Please, Eren...keep it a secret."

"Are you going to be alright though...I mean; not to sound rude but Annie may not have the same feelings as you for her?" Eren asked him.

"I don't know..." Armin said with a broken heart.

"I'll keep it a secret, Armin. Don't worry; just promise me that you'll get some sleep." Eren told him as he started to leave.

"You got it." Armin replied. He went back to staring at Annie. He walked up to place his forehead right on the crystal where her forehead was closest.

I wonder if you can hear me, Annie. He thought to himself. He decided to test it out.

"Annie...if you can hear me...I'm sorry. I'm sorry for lying to you and trying to capture you. When you said that if I view you as a good person. I would have said no because to me...you are a beautiful and...and...caring person. No one is good or bad, Annie. That's how I see it...the decisions we all make is what makes us who we are and Annie...I think I am a bad person for hurting you and lying to you because...I'm in love with you, Annie Leonhart." Armin told her as he closed his eyes and moved away from the crystal.

I just wish that you had feelings for me as well, Annie. He thought as he walked out from the room.

He never heard the crystal crack a bit where his forehead was resting.

//Annie POV//

Where...where am I? Oh...that's right, I'm stuck in this freaking crystal. Wait, who's that voice...is that...Armin? Annie thought as she remained frozen in the crystal. She was very alive and awake but can't move. She knew how to crystallize herself and did to protect herself. But she has no idea how to get out. She blames it all on  Armin. She knew that he was setting her up; he was lying to her and tried to capture her. She always thought he was a nice person. Now, she went back to trying to listen to what Armin was saying outside the crystal...

He's probably talking to Commander Erwin on how to get me out of here to make me talk. Like I know anything about the Titans. I was simply ordered to capture Eren and take him with Bertholdt and Reiner, that's all. Annie thought. With all her strength, she tried to open at least one eye to see. She could only open it so little that you couldn't tell if it was open. Her vision was a little blurry but she could see Armin alone. He had his forehead pressed on the crystal directly across her head. She was starting to think about calling him names and planning how to hurt him but she stops. She saw that he looked terrible, there were bags under his eyes like he haven't slept in days. All hate seems to drain away when she stared at his eyes. And now...she can hear him clearly.
