synopsis
April Hugh Langston doesn't do complicated. She literally can't afford it. As a merit-based scholarship student with a rocky support system, she doesn't have time for anything else besides working, writing, and getting out of university as fast as humanly possibly.
She's doing everything in her power to keep her head above water while doing it all on her own. And she's completely exhausted. All she really wants is a single defining moment of relief.
That relief is found on one simple night from the star point guard of Hartfield University's basketball team, Isaiah Price.
They meet by chance and find solace in the touch of one another at a college party. Then they split with no intention to ever see each other again. But when life has a different fate for them and they are thrown together in a multitude of disruptive interactions, April finds out that it's a lot harder to leave the silver spoon lifestyle of Isaiah Price once you're already knee deep in it.
But not everything that glitters is gold.
